Hey guys! I've finally been able to order my gaming rig. Take a look at the specs: MSI Z77A-G45 ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SLI SATA3 DVI HDMI VGA DX11 USB3.0 Motherboard Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB Retail Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit Antec High Current Gamer 750W 24PIN ATX12V V2.3 Active PFC 80 Plus Bronze SLI Power Supply 135mm Fan ASUS DRW-24B1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer OEM Black Antec Eleven Hundred Performance Gaming Case XL-ATX 3X5.25 2X2.5 6X3.5IN 2XUSB3 INT No PSU OCZ Vertex 3 120GB 2.5IN SATA3 6Gbps SandForce SF-2281 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti Fermi 900MHZ 1GB 4.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI Mini HDMI DirectX11 PCI-E Video Card Not a super build, but it should be able to handle MWO just fine. Had help putting it together with some of the dudes here at work. Most of them here have built their own systems, and know what they are talking about for sure I am pumped for this!
It totaled to just over 1100.00. And no, that was the last of my tax return money I still need to save up for the rest of the system, namely, monitor and keyboard. Possibly a HOTAS joystick/throttle combo.
Not a bad build there, Trevor. Only thing I would have suggested was to have gone with Sandy Bridge instead of Ivy Bridge. The reported gains between the two have been minimal and you might have saved a bit of money on the CPU. I've not priced out an Ivy Bridge CPU so I'm not sure what the price difference is. Other than that, nice build. Should do MWO, as well as other games, on High/Very High without issue.
Well, I was going to, but ncix.ca had a motherboard and processor sale bundle, and it had the Ivy bridge, so I figured, why not?
