i don't know much about that, but apparently rule 34 is already in full effect for tracer and widowmaker. definitely NSFW
not really surprised. only reason i know was at one point i tried doing a google search to learn more about the "tracer's butt" controversy and i got a lot more than i bargained for
Well, she has a nice butt. She was designed with a nice butt. A massive amount of the game's promotional material focused on her butt. They clearly wanted people to notice it.
I started thinking that, hey, I had some fun playing the beta, maybe i WILL buy it. Then i saw the $60 and said NOPE
idk, I thought the same thing at first about TF2 and wound up playing it for like two years straight.
Nah, I wait for most things to go on sale too, I just mean it's pretty easy to get $60 worth of entertainment out of a game if it's good.
It's $40. The $60 is the Origins edition, which just includes some extra skins for the game, and digital swag for other Blizzard games.
Ha. so Blizzard auto-takes you to the expensive version... doesn't even easily show you the cheaper one.
We're apparently looking at different screens, because when I'm in the battle.net overwatch screen, and click PC for buy, it takes me to the origins edition directly with no other choice. There, the only way to even realize there are other choices is to look at the navigation which says SHOP > OVERWATCH PRODUCTS > OVERWATCH: ORIGINS EDITION, and click on the overwatch or shop parts to go back and select the other edition. From the main 'SHOP' screen, you also do not see the $40 option, only the $60 option. Only way to get to it is to click the overwatch specific sub menu and then you see the two. So yes, Blizzard is purposefully driving people to the $60 and hiding the cheaper option as much as possible.
I'm not arguing that Blizzard is trying to usher players towards a higher cost option (a fairly common business practice, mind you). I'm arguing the comment that Blizzard is hiding the cheaper option/making it difficult to find. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Overwatch price
Well, they are 100% making it hard to find on the launcher, you can't really argue that. Apparently not on the website, so their inconsistent stance is more confusing than anything. I don't really care that much, this just started because I went on the b.net launcher to check the price, only saw 1 option for $60 and thought that was the price. I didn't even realize there was a different option until you pointed it out, which I then had to go hunt down in the launcher because it wasn't put anywhere convenient. Either that's intentional or someone from their marketing team is incompetent. Any why would I google something when I'm on the company's own web property looking at their store?
It is difficult on their launcher, and the reasoning behind that is hard to see when they haven't made it difficult elsewhere. I can agree on that. I was just reiterating that I don't feel that it is fair to say that across the board it has been difficult to find that $39 price point.
