Man, all these awesome mods, I really got to get around to installing them sometime, or for that matter actually beating Skyrim...

  2. Dragonborn DLC sucked me back in hard. Need to stop to do more work here.

yeah Nexus Mod Manager is a Must have altough you still cant brainlessly install mods since they will overwrite each other. So you still have to know which to install after which to get the Result you want. Not quite easy when you have about 45 mods installed ^^.

Yeah I've only got like 20 or so and it's already hard to manage!

this. the nexus website i think is still superior to steam workshop in regards to elder scrolls games

...and not just because of the titties... although that might help

edit: btw, anyone here with more modding experience than me? if i ever get around to it, an official SoR mod could be really cool.

holy shit,... i just realized... i don't think anyone has done a dethklok mod :bananalama:

I dont have any modding experience but Id like to try once. Is it vastly different from coding? I have a bit of experience in coding C#, C and Java, (and a very small bit of SQL (ugh ugly thing)). However its probably diffrent isnt it?

It depends on what you're doing, but for simple mods, its much easier. Unless you're scripting events, there's no/little coding at all.

Ok that sounds easy enough and even scripting events sound like can be done with easy ifs or switchs. Well now I only need to have an Idea on what to actually do ^^.

the Creation Kit is actually one of if not the most expansive modding kit i (personally) have ever seen. say what you will about bethesda, but they love their modder fan base and i for one appreciate it.

    Hey! Necro'ing this thread.

Apparently somebody fudged up during the past summer sale and made the Dawnguard DLC free for a short time. What this means, is that anyone logged in to steam at the time and owned Skyrim got the Dawnguard DLC downloaded automatically. It doesn't show up in steam, because you don't technically "own" the dlc, but as long as you haven't re installed Skyrim recently, it's there.

I didn't even notice till I was playing recently and a random guard gave me the starting quest for the DLC and there were new areas on my map. Confirmed it by checking my Nexus Mod manager and the Dawnguard.esm was there.

So for anyone lucky enough. Happy vampire hunting!

Dawnguard is actually really good. Its certainly better than Dragonborn.

  13. Dawnguard is great except when vampires spawn in towns you've just entered and kill NPCs that you're trying to buy or sell from. That gets annoying quick.

Fortunately you can re-load your last autosave and go straight for them.

Current state of Skyrim MP mod. Seems it is coming together very nicely. Why Bethesda didn't do this themselves is beyond me.

... yeaaaah Bethesda didn't make a multiplayer game because Bethesda can barely make a single player game.

Given how easy a game Skyrim already is, I feel like this would just be SUPER boring. You'd need some realism mods t make it interesting.
