- It helps us to find posts/threads we were trying to locate

- It helps us to see threads already exist that we considered starting, helping to reduce moderator workload in regards to thread merging

- It helps us to locate threads with specific words/topics that we may find interesting

- It slices

- It dices

- It juliennes

So to clarify, no one is going to be flipping out when someone necros an extremely old post about a similar discussion instead of starting a new thread to facilitate new discussion?

I feel like there's a pretty solid consensus that we would rather have someone resurrect an old thread than start a redundant one.

Well, I debated it when this thread was created, but I figured this would be a pretty silly thing to sticky considering that the search bar is a common feature on forums, and its use is intuitive.
