No disrespect to my Monarchical brothers and sisters. Just a bit of friendly banter is all. My mum used to slap me around when I'd forget my Irish heritage and she told me that if it weren't for the UK then the US would just be a larger Mexico. Then again, my dad would slap me around and say if it weren't for the Spanish/French then the US would have been conquered by the Cree.....How my mother and father ever married is beyond me.
Yeah I'm working today as well... but! I get paid double and I can see the fireworks on the pier from the pool deck where I work! Alright! $16 and hour to watch fireworks!
