So, nothing happend this time as people were occupied with other things but we will give it a try next Saturday instead.
With Aspius' help I got ACRE working correctly and he gave me the basic run-down on what he wants to achieve with the group. I am excite. 3p EST is a -little- early for me, but I'm eager to group up with y'all.
I am going to be on leave next week and traveling across country the following weekend, so the next few sessions are a push for me unfortunately.
I'd be interested in getting back into ARMA. It's been a fair bit of time though. Last I played, we had a pretty large laundry list of mods that don't seem to be used anymore. In fact, here's a screenshot: I really like speed of sound, but I can't even remember what the other ones did. Any that I ought to keep, or should I just purge all of that and start from scratch?
SoS - specifically - is a client side mod for your enjoyment only. It would be perfectly fine with the current (and much smaller) mod list Aspius has compiled. The others should probably go if you haven't kept them up-to-date since, even if we do decide to use them, they'd likely need to be downloaded again with the most current version. BTW, awesome to see you again, Don.
My recommendation is that you purge all and start from scratch. An important note to all: Do NOT update any of the mods that we use unless it's specified here. The idea is that the mod list will be updated around the 1st every month. This time it will most likely happen on Monday. For anyone interested in making missions. We will need a lot of them so feel free to make anything, PVE or PVP. Send me a PM if you want more info.
Wow I just realized it's been a year since I've played this. Need to download again and get back in playing in Virtual Arsenal. Unfortunately the Saturday meet times are when I'm at work but maybe some of us can do some quick evening runs through the week as well?
I'm always game for evening arma shenanigans. Going to be working on dusting off my skills after several months away.
I would like to see as many people as possible on saturday so that we can end our first month with something really good.
