The perfect heavy mech?

  1. So in my travels researching post-3050 designs in preparation for the upcoming Project Prometheus, I decided to create an Omni version of the Thunderbolt. Lo and behold, almost exactly one of the variants I was going to build exists as a canon mech: The TDR-9NAIS.

A 5/8 heavy with a RAC5, targeting computer and ECM? YES PLEASE.

  4. Drat you're right, it is missing the yump yets. Oh well, it's the almost perfect heavy.

  7. Some of these loadouts I'm planning are really strong, in addition to following canon. Just need to familiarize myself with Omni build rules when I get some time to read the sourcebooks.

    general rule of thumb:

no XL Engine = 70 or 75 tons (the difference is marginal)

XL Engine = 75-85 tons (for 4/6 movement)

I forget to what extent that changes for 5/8 movement but if you aren't doing JJs I think 60-65 is better for no XL... i might be wrong though
