Sorry I didn't get to play with you tonight, by the time this is finished downloading it'll be too late in the night for me. Maybe some other time.
So I found out something... I don't think i'll be playing firefall, I got into never winter night beta weekend
I'm pretty sure we have like infinite beta keys since each person we invite with one of our beta keys gets 5 beta keys as well.
1:21. Bronto blushie. Gimme. That. Now. Other than that, nice video. Seems like Red 5 is having more or less fun making Firefall. Always nice to see from a game dev.
So has anyone been playing this recently? I've just started playing it again and the crafting system is pretty neat, i.e. I can understand it.
only thing I don't like about the crafting system is it seems really vague on what you're actually -looking- for, when you're out there thumping, besides of course the obvious 'higher is better' there's no really intuitive hints like how you'd use high carbon steel for one type of weapon and medium carbon steel for another, or a mix of both for strength and reflexivity
Me, Blue and some others still play almost every day. RAWR Guide. The crafting still needs some work. Mostly on showing how different resources affect the stats of your equipment. This guide should give you at least some kind of picture of it.
You just look for whatever stat the component is looking for, if you need CPU you get stuff that has a high CPU rating. Those you just have to look at a list and determine what is best plus what may be available. Its more complicated then a WoW 2 iron + 2 wood makes a sword, but it makes crafting actually interesting.
I'm not opposed to it being more in depth, just want it to be more -intuitive- also, they need to make it so you can craft backwards, pick the item you want to make, and use links from that item to make the components you need for that item, rather than having to hunt them down through the menu system, I realize that everything is -fairly- well organized, but it simply makes -sense- to be able to just click the component you need to make, to go make it .
You can actually already do this. When you select something you want to make, then select one of the components and a window will pop up where you select the component and there will be a button that says something like "manufacture this component" and it will take you to that component. There's also a search function.
Ill take a Beta key... And if i like the game enough i plan on getting the $100 founders pack. So i can give out some Tiki masks.
