I've just finished my first Foundry quest. It's called "The Choice", an experiment with divergent quest lines and of course the choices you make and how they affect said quest. It starts off with a mysterious traveler employing you to discern the source of a strange magic she has been studying. Your quest will take you down into the sewers to unearth the cities dark secrets where your choices will have a lot more weight than you would at first think.

-Designed with single player in mind.
-Moderate amounts of dialogue and combat ranging from standard to hard based on the choices you make.
-24 different combinations of paths to take.
-8 Different boss encounters, of course based on which choices you make.
    -Run time of 20-30min

I'm not the best of writers, so any corrections with the wording, or if it doesn't sound right, would be great. Also, some general feedback of what you think about the quest or any bugs would be :awesome:

To find it head to new and search my handle in the author section: Watchit1337

    Thanks!

What's the average play time for the quest?

It takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the choices you make

In addition to the time length, what class is it scaled to or does it auto scale and is it ment to be single player?(guessing with the multiple choices changing how the story line goes)

It's meant to be played single player. I solo'd it with my wizard. I'm sure most anyone could solo it, though several encounters might require a health potion.

I like it, but there seems to be a couple problems with it that I have found. For instance. I picked the bandit leader. During the fight, I died and was unable to continue because there was a barrier in the way of the door. So I had to just abandon it and start over. I have not started it again yet. The only other issue is the location of the sewer at the beginning I do not know if that was intentional or not but I had a tough time figuring out where to go.

The dialog and pathing seems great though. Really looking forward to see what else is in it.

Is there a search feature for ones that are under review? I've been going through for a good 10-15 minutes and have yet to see yours.

You can give us your foundry ID. It will make the search much easier.

I went to the sewer but I can't access it, waiting for it to timeout so I can re attempt it

I think perhaps this maybe because I tried adding a "travel to location" quest marker to make the deekin street sewer access easeir to find, but you weren't reaching that point perhaps. I'll remove that travel part and just add some directions to the Mysterious Traveler's dialogue.

Also I think the foundry ID is "NW-DRGKJ9LF4"

Alright, I made the adjustments to the Bandit's area so that you can't get stuck if you die. Also I removed the "Travel to" quest objective and gave the Traveler more specific directions to Deekin street.

It's publishing right now, but once it's done in a few minutes the version number will be 1.7b

And hey! It's no longer in the "under review section"

It was a little confusing at the end because of the chest that popped up. I thought it was over because it took me back to Protectors enclave and the quest was gone. I did go back to where I received the quest and completed it though.

Outside of a little confusion, this is really cool. Well done.

How friendly is the foundry to non-programmers? Is it usable without any scripting, etc?

Man, that bandit quest line is effin hard (or at least not melee friendly). I got pummeled and stunned so many times that I didn't even have time to drink a potion. I liked the choices, but I spent more potions then I did leveling up.

Oh and one more thing, do you have a fetish for fire :D?

I should probably change that encounter up some then. And yes fire is good. you can never have enough fire.

There's absolutely zero programming in the foundry.

Ran my 5th level wizard through there and it was fun. Book in library needs text. Thanks Watchit.
