So it seems Harebrained Schemes is doing a new kickstarter campaign now that Shadowrun Returns has been released. Except this one is a miniatures game. Seems mildly interesting—I haven't backed yet (though I might), but I figured a new miniatures game set in a new IP from the creator of BattleTech might rustle some jimmies around these parts. Golem Arcana
damn that looks fantastic, not particularly thrilled with the storyline, but the concept of the gameplay is something I've been interested for quite some time, teaming tabletop with technology to make it accessible for anyone. I may have to kickstarter just so that they can get the ball rolling on this kind of game, I'd love to see a steampunk version XD
Thanks for the support Lochlan! I also want to encourage feedback, it's super-useful and appreciated. To that effect, Jordan Weisman - creator of the game, (and a whole bunch of others) is doing an AMA in r/games on Reddit this Thursday, September 19th at 2:30pm pacific. Swing by and share your thoughts and questions!
Just thought I'd bring this up again, it's the last week for crowd funding, needs another 150+k to reach the 500k needed for kickstarter, if yer on the fence hop on over and push that deadline! (Kickstarter ends october 15)
if anyone else kickstartered this, should check your e-mail, they're sending out the confirmation e-mails
Took care of my BackerKit stuff yesterday for my Early Warrior pledge. Loved seeing $10 in credit after JW negotiated better rates for the minis. Not sure what to spend it on yet...maybe War Sprite or half on a sweet Clan Sunu tshirt.
I pledged an extra $9 over my Early Warrior to get the Samula Tribe Bundle (as instructed by the kickstarter page). But now the Samula bundle is apparently the same price as any other codex, so I ended up with $19 in credit. I decided to pick up a map tile pack and leave the remaining $3 for future digital content.
I picked this up a few weeks ago and started playing with my son. This seems like a good starter into war gaming. Pretty straight forward and fun. The only thing I have not been able to figure out is how to charge..
