New kickstarter, looks pretty sweet if anyone is interested in 'realistic' medieval rpg in first person. Almost funded already, it seems pretty ambitious but this is for Act 1 (of 3) only and the size is like a fifth of Skyrim's space, so it may not be that ridiculous. Anyway, kickstarter link Chris Roberts also tweeted his support if anyone cares.
Sounds like a good RPG. I'm curious what "medieval martial arts experts" they're using... combat actually looks pretty decent.
Everything that they feel they need to put into this in order to make it an enjoyable world sans-magic is exactly what I want in a world that ALSO has magic. Conclusion: When this game gets a good magic mod, I'll be very happy.
High praise indeed, I love it that CR has seen something he liked from a from a different Dev, then approached them on how they do it, With the thought of improving his own game. Deliverance is looking pretty amazing.
The fact that both companies are cool with sharing info with each other on how to make their game the best it can be speaks volumes about both groups.
backed it because of pure fidelity they are going for. On a side note since we can forge our own weapons, I wonder if we could make a 5+ foot long Zweihänder. That would be pure freaking win right there.
