Finished the series today, well done. A few thoughts: 1. Emilia Clark is HOT! 2. Peter Dinklage is an excellent Tyrion. Well cast and executed. 3. Overlooked character that was spot on casting and acting - Ser Aliser Thorne. The dude that plays him is quite a dick. 4. Now I have to get HBO so I can watch Season 2.
I thought they did an excellent job with the series! I'm hoping it continues and Martin gets his head out of his ass and stops dicking around with the series...seems like he's just writing for shock value now and just doesn't care about his own world anymore.
I have a feeling he will have to start bringing it back together soon after the events in the last book. Seems like I heard somebody say at some point that there would be seven total books but I may be wrong about that.
I agree, that storyline is confusing as hell. The emergence of *spoiler alert* and his movements at the end of the last book make a new twist that keeps things interesting though.
Interesting, but [redacted] never even met up with Dany, since she was busy half the book [redacted].
True but at least it gives some action to look forward to instead of all the sitting around and talking
I actually found her chapters to be the most uplifting and hopeful, unlike the others that were all death and destruction. *shrug* I must confess I really need to sit down and finish the last book. But I've been so hung on on Battletech books and my wife and I are reading Dune together. (i stopped to let her catch up LOL)
All of the DUNE books or just the first one? I loved the first one but never could get into the sequels.
1st episode was acceptable. Not GREAT, but I guess they DO need to ease in to things. With the addition of the Davos/Stannis perspective, it felt even more chopped up, like we were only getting 5 minutes with each character.
Yeah it was ok....good thing my dad lets me use his fancast account that way i dont have to pay for HBO
