Unfortunately I think it is solo only. I have a hard time believing it will be the travesty that was Colonial marines...
I love the Thief series but this new one doesn't quite convince me yet: 1.) Garrett is no longer voiced by Stephen Russel... Garrett's voice is what we recognize most in the game why change it and yes I've read their statement on that, I've seen it done and its really not a good excuse, but whatever the new voice actor has very big shoes to fill. I guess we will have to wait and see how he does as the voice of Garrett so long as he keeps the essence that is our favorite thief i wont complain too much. 2.) I've seen the game play it looks nice but that stupid dash mechanic kinda takes away from the experience that is Thief... its just gonna turn into a easy mode tool for players to get through the level quickly. Do you guys remember in the old thief most missions took about 50+ minutes on max difficulty. I remember playing on max difficulty on the older games where you couldn't alert , knockout or kill the guards for the whole level i would be on the edge of my seat for the whole time, now that shit was pure adrenaline. 3.) the FUCKING console (PS4/XBONE) <<< yes that shit right there is my biggest concern and i know that cursing is not for the best on forum but needed to be stressed how important that point of view is. Are we getting a port from said console or PC version is properly developed for PC, because personally I'm sick of games simply being Ported to PC stop throwing us bones you -REDACTED- gaming companies, I didn't buy an expensive ass computer to play ported console games. With all the lets downs from said ported games I've played, i feel like I been slammed more times than a screen door. Proper PC game please ^^ 4.) I WANT MODDING TOOLS! I don't want thief to die out simply because the developers abandon the game in favor of the next, The modding community has always made awesome thief maps to play and i definitely would like to see that happen on this game especially since now SDKs are much more user friendly than they used to be. A good modding community would keep this game alive for years, and i hope that is the case because this has always been one of my favorite games. and holy crap i don't usually write this much... took about 45 min between slow unlock of the release and actually unpacking the game. Played for an hour and iv got mixed feelings, but the right feel is there. Im off to bed more to come latter.
Im still playing through. I have a lot of games on my plate. There seems to be at least one skill upgrade witch is tits useless and makes it way harder to lock pick while burning focus, you manna. Feels like a console to pc port.
