I just saw where ScrewCity Chris is buying a Subaru. If anyone else is looking to buy a Subaru car, then let me know. I can't get you a discount, sorry I only can do that for immediate family. BUT you can help me out, let me know your buying, and, as an employee of Subaru, I can get a refer a friend bonus! This money would of course go right into my computer upgrade fund!! I would receive $75 for each referral. But I would need to be informed before you went to buy. I would then fill out a form and give it to you, all you have to do is give that completed form to the dealer when you visit. Also, if I receive 6 referrals in one year I get into a drawing for $500.
No, I build new ones in the factory in Lafayette Indiana. Your more than welcome to buy a used one though. I just don't get a bonus for those.
MindWyrm, good to know, I'll be buying a new Subaru in !ERROR - DIVISION BY ZERO months. Aww... It looks like it might take a while to save up for it while not being able to save money.
Then why'd you let PGI remake Mechwarrior. YOU could have done it right, and from the beginning, and made a fortune!!
Tell me about it. It was mostly that it didn't occur to me when I would have been able to start it and also that it would have had to be called something different. And MP is a major PITA. Seriously, without any rep I would have been unable to get the right to use the IP. Really. When I try to contact one of the big guys, they don't answer, they don't reply. It's a brick wall. As you may've seen from my pet project, I really would like to but above all there aren't enough art resources to go around. "Not enough art. You need to spawn more artists". Having grey boxes shoot thin white lines at each other is kind of a turn off for most people even if I manage to find the odd hours to make the combat mechanics and simple MP framework that works. As for making a fortune, I'm sure PGI are making it. I would never be as greedy in the commercialization of a product. I'm more of a "pay so you can play" guy than "pay so you won't have to play" guy.
So given that a Borf'er is making them, should we be concerned about the quality of Subaru from Indiana?
Mindwym should start our own ship yard building facilities in SC. Would not want to be a test pilot though.
If we're going by that logic, I should pin just about every thread in Off Topic, because someone, somewhere will want to know about that thing.
I've wanted a Subaru since i was like 16. my best friend in high school had a beat up old Subraru legacy wagon that was a rock. we did so much super stupid shit in that thing. was very gas efficient at the time too. hell it ran with a cracked cylinder and a piston that wasn't working (ran on 3 cylinders). was a zombie car with all wheel drive. When i finally do get to pick a car to buy, it'll prolly be a Subaru, and if its in the next yearish, i'll remember to reference ya.
