That's a travesty. I know he's getting up in years, but at least give him some kind of cameo or something.
One of the reasons I played Tachyon back in the day was Bruce Campbell doing the voice in it. The thought of evil dead without him in it is a sad prospect. Growing up I always wanted more Star Wars movies, then George gave me JarJar and I realized that sometime the unknown is much, much preferred to knowing more. One series that I'd like to see more of is Tom Clancy's series on Jack Ryan. Granted I liked both Baldwin and Ford in the role but Ben just didn't do it for me at all so any further reboots of it are a scary prospect as well.
I can see the Clancy series continuing, especially with Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan, especially when you get to Executive Orders, Bear and the Dragon, any of the ones after he becomes president. Would love to see a Rainbow Six movie based off the book, not the games.
Why is everyone always hating on the SW prequals? I think they were good Sci-Fi movies. They were no Taxi Driver, but neither were the original trilogy. I never really had a problem with Midiclorians (sp). It was most likely a very rudimentary explanation of them in the movie, especially when you consider Qui-Gon (or Obi-wan can't remember off the top of m head) was trying to explain a quasi-philosophical concept to a preteen slave boy who, most likely, had little to no real education.
I would've liked it more if so many characters that are shown to be epic badasses in things like the Clone Wars animated series and other fluff weren't all taken out like bitches.
I think I'd like to see a proper reboot of the Starship Trooper movie based on Heinlein's novel, not what came out that was based on all of maybe 15 pages of the book. Would be much more entertaining than the horrible acting that went on in that movie.....although I do own it on DVD and watch it when I'm sick because it makes me feel better.
Highlander sequel? pff they are remaking it and continuing their goal of completely ruining my childhood memories.
Starship Troopers was such a terrible movie, but at the same time I love watching it. I'll look into grabbing the book some time. But I will say that the Starship Troopers sequels should never have been made.
