Unity is what is currently running Mechwarrior: Tactics through browser, that hasn't seemed to work out great for them. Although then again Wasteland 2 is also using Unity, which seems to be doing just fine (then again not in a browser). Although this worries me: "and on Ouya" which means it can be run by almost basic android phones. (a few moments later) Ooorr I can watch a few of the vids, so basically running the same graphics are shadowruns returns? I'm interested, not enough info to throw money down yet though.

Started the 1st mission, seems interesting, but without character creation and stuff half the fun is just coming.
Unity runs on everything. Sometimes you have to change a couple of scripts or use lower LOD settings and simpler objects. My build options menu, most of the target platforms don't even fit in.
Browser embedding has it's own quirks and issues. There's absolutely no reason you can't make it great, other than available funds and skills. If they're having issues with browser build, I suppose it boils down to the overall difficulties in finding network programmers. Few people who go to games programming want to jump straight to network programming as that has nothing to do with games and everything to do with networking. The industry itself is notorious for sacking whole teams as soon as a game is finished and also of paying less than IT sector, so most people with networking skills would rather have a steady good paying job outside games industry. It also doesn't help that often games industry folks are simply expected to move halfway across the planet between each of their games.
Anyone played it. Any good yet? Is it still very early access. IS it like Shadpwrun Returns? Cause I love that game (toon creation is kind of weak) but the lack of multiplayer makes me sad.
I am going to wait until the end of the steam sale, and see if it gets a deeper discount. But it does look interesting.
