I'm going to. Also, for those of you wondering: Garrosh, after being captured in the SoO is taken to the passed by a Bronze dragon and changes the events. However, this is a NEW and DIFFERENT timeline, leaving the original unchanged. Garrosh, seeking revenge, has the Dark Portal constructed but is having it connected to OUR Dark Portal, in the present timeline (post Siege of Orgrimmar)
What the flippitty fuck? GETTIN' REAL TIRED OF YOUR SHIT, GARROSH. Also, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have a Bronze Dragon fucking with time. It would make more sense if it was one of the Infinite Dragons. In fact, Infinite Dragons make so much sense I'm wagering a bet they will be the primary bad guys in this expansion.
Well, the Infinite were defeated when players rescued Nozdormu in Cata. (Nozdorumu, or a different him in another timeline, glimpsed his own death and went crazy) However, I actually can't remember if it was a Bronze dragon or a different being that pulls this off (I can't remember the name to check and most of the official sites don't have it yet as it's speculation or discovered by players) The execution itself seems really good. Horde and Alliance, with their refound purpose of "hey, maybe we need to kill those guys more than you guys" semi work together again. First the Iron Horde invades in a Dark Portal event, pre launch, along with a revamp of UBRS which has been captured by an advanced force of the Iron Horde (which I has an unprecedented level of excitement for) Then, in Draenor, Alliance work with the Dranei and the Horde with the Frostwolf clan, among a handful of others (can't remember who exactly) Assuming the small details fall into place, it has the makings of really, really good story. They are centering it around the Warlords themselves, releasing videos about each of them (only one is out about Kargath so far) and centering around their characters. As long as they continue that with the story, and the gameplay capatalises on that (every one of the warlord fights had better be a great goddamn fight) it seems like it'll be really good. Side note: People need to get over the Pandas. Yes, they are silly but they actually add a really good balance to the WoW races cast, as neither side really had the key personality traits of the Pandas (peace, serenity, patience, etc.) They bring both a serenity and neutrality to both factions that is the only reason the two could get along. Also, as silly as they look, they have some of the VERY best characters in the Warcraft universe, and topping the list for characters that have come out in recent times.
Played for an hour and quit. From an outsider's perspective, game is very much showing it's age. Clunky interface and poor character creation. After playing Wildstar, I just couldn't get into this one.
The WoW UI has always been terrible. That's why there are countless custom UI's available for download. This is also why Blizzard hasn't fixed it. Why fix it if everyone just goes and makes their own custom UI through addons anyway? Everyone always knocks WoW's UI. But, it's actually one of the most customizable UI's on the market thanks to third party addons.
At the same time, if someone joins the game, and then quits before they bother trying to find those custom UIs, what good does it do? People know that any Elder Scrolls game that gets released gets modded to high heaven, but that doesn't mean that the developers can just say, "Ehhhh, fuck it." I agree with Haki, it may (arguably) be a game that can continue to hold the attention of those who have played it for years, but it's really going to struggle to rope new people in en masse at this point.
I want a free month so I can fly around and make everyone else jealous again because I am a fuckin awesome DRAGON and they are not. And then log off and never play again. Maybe I'll give away all my amassed wealth and delete all my characters so I finally have some closure and never think of playing this game again.
it's times like these when I wish I'd spent a little more effort back in the AQ unlocking era and actually tried to get the black silithid mount, just so I could watch the flow again.
no, WoW is dead to me, I came back during the panda era, levelled to cap and found nothing new and interesting to keep my attention for more than a month that didn't require me to go through the same old grind to get up to raiding level.
This can be said of every MMORPG ever produced. Shit even GW2, which is arguably one of the most easily accessible MMOs on the market, requires a grind before you can start doing the big boy stuff.
But it has pokemon now. how could you not want to play wow when it has pokemon. Yeah I cant stand the mindless grind anymore as well. Back in my dark times of wow the normal day went like this. 2 hours of running dungeons for valor cap and or gear/valor gear. 2 hour or so of farming for mats herbs for pots/ore for gems. 3 hours of smashing head against keyboard in raid. 7 hours of gameplay yeah no... more like a second job. 3-4 nights a week. 5 nights a week when new raid comes out. I don't think I want to do that again ever. I wouldn't mind going through and doing the quests for story and what not because there is a ton of lore but no more hardcore raiding ever again.
