Last one is in hidden 'cause the pic is considered a spoiler to story of Trigun. Just so you know. Spoiler
So much good here... I remember Trigun. I'd watched it right after finishing Cowboy Bebop, my first anime ever, so I could have an uplifting series to cheer me up. PS. Thank you for introducing me to Helios.
Who the hell told you trigun was uplifting? At the very, very end, sure, but the rest? You gotta wade thruogh some feels to get there.
I didn't know! I didn't know anything about anime at all! I'd just watched Cowboy Bebop, and then saw that Trigun had such a lighter tone (IN THE FUCKING BEGINNING) that I thought it'd help. It was only the second anime I'd ever seen. I started to suspect after watching Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex that all anime was out to break your heart and fill you with feels. Then I fucking watched Wolf's Rain...
I'm usually somewhat cold hearted but I admit Madoka Magica hit me quite well. Around episode 5 I was thinking: "This is definitely something else than I was expecting." And then you know what happened to Sayaki Miki... "Nothing hurts anymore!" Fuck that shit... And yes, Trigun is one most misleading series when it comes to first impressions. I actually dropped the series at episode 14 a while ago. Got back watching it last week and had to watch everything past episode 15 almost in one sitting. The change of tone is amazing.
The change is done quite suddenly, but in believable manner. And then they wretched it up until your heart breaks. But it ways always done in quite a well written way. Spoiler Except for that one death...got damn it...
Uh huh... Your heart is now broken and ruined. Oh, and thanks for Unearth Skwi. I'm picky about metalcore but this is really good.
Ahhh, yes. I remember finally getting around to watching this. It was a couple of months after my ex had left. Aaahhahahah! Goood times. It is a beautiful movie though.
I still need to watch Wolf Children from the same director. It looks very good and pretty much everybody have said they love it.
This week, the spirits of youtube revelaed to me the wide world of power metal. Now I know about Stratovarius, Dreamtale, and Darkmooor. I have finally found my music. Must go, so many more bands to find.
Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Demons & Wizards (combo group of previous two bands), Hammerfall, Sabaton, Falconer, Dragonforce, Manowar, Nightwish....... many many good bands in that genre.
