I have a pair of Nightwish albums at home. They are indeed amazing. Dragonforce is listenable, but I wouldn't say they hold up well to some others I've heard. Never heard of the others, but I'll have to check them out.
Nightwish (mostly older albums with Tarja Turunen singing. New ones are decent too.) is the only one you need if you ask me. Something something Finnish pride something. Good recommendations though. Just listen to this awesomeness: EDIT: Had to add. 'Cause Nemo and Ghost Love Score may be two most awesome/beautiful metal songs I've ever heard. I listened Oceanborn on loop when playing Mechwarrior 3 and 4 back in the day. 'nuff said?
Remembered listening to this track before the live Beyond Earth Covert Ops livestream began about a month ago, but couldn't find the full length livestream with the pre-stream tracks recorded elsewhere afterward. Finally found it! The soundtrack of Civ V was amazing, and Beyond Earth's is sounding just as epic so far. Really looking forward to racing towards the final stages of victory with a track like this playing.
I've been playing a lot of Dragon Age: Origins lately, and have been using a program to replace the game's music with songs of my choosing. Mostly, these have been from the LOTR and 13th Warrior soundtracks. However, this has been the music I chose the game to play whenever I fight a boss character... The choir. The choir, my friends!
I am a huge fan of the New Orleans metal scene and this documentary series just finished up today, really cool look into some of my favorite bands. 7 episodes total. I only wish they'd varied the soundtrack more, they reused the same couple songs way too many times.
