Normally I'd be leery of a Korn/Slipknot combination but they knock this Beastie Boys cover out of the park.
Now I know what I'll be listening for the rest of year. Also blasting while driving with middle fingers high in the air. (nevermind the hello kitty sunscreens at the rear windows)
Yea. I can't find it either so this will be a bit off since I don't know that language but, along the lines: It was young king Sverker Comes forward to face Swedish King saying You lead with (number of) knights bearing your shield. (coat of arms) Many will weep. My noble Lord, I don't regret, I convey to you my anguish You lead with knights bearing your shield. Many will weep. (Just my version and the next danish speaker will probably laugh at my interpretation and failure at comprehension) From their blog: Det var unge Kong Sverker Gaar for Dannerkongen at stande Thi fører Riddere i deres Skjold. Der græder saa mange. Min ædelige Herre, I det ikke fortryde, jeg klager for Eder min Vaande Thi fører Riddere i deres Skjold. Der græder saa mange. Der junge König Sverker tritt vor den Schwedenkönig und klagt: Deine Armee ist größer ich weiß, Du wirst der Sieger sein, aber bedenke: nimmt ein Ritter das Schwert in die Hand, dann weinen so viele Und dem schließt sich CC an: bevor man sich schlägt, sollte man erst reden… The young Danish king Sverker comes forward the king of Sweden and bewails: Your arms are more powerful than I can imagine. You will prevail. But consider: takes a knight the sword in hand lots will weep. I actually personally think that they got it wrong by translating a translation. Many words have many different meanings in german and in danish so just picking one word wrong and then translating a meaning for it that didn't exist in the original one can mean all the difference between complete distortion of the message.
I haven't enjoyed one of his albums in a long time, but this one is pretty good. Feels like he hit the mark this time in keeping his image but maturing his music. Going to see it live in 2 days!
what, no other old punks here? great band singin the praises of a staple of the minneapolis music scene lastly something a little different. local band, grew up with the bassist. phenominal group live plus they have great beards
so ya.. http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/235838/punk-band-with-down-syndrome-looks-to-raise-awareness-in-eurovision-song-contest/ Finnish band that are finalist in some euroaward thing for punk song. I actually like how it sounds, punk in structure/beat, slowed down a bit, heavier bass, metal type vocals with a bit of actual singing. oh ya and all the members have Down Syndrome and some autistic.
We should organize something with the other MN/upper midwesterners soon! In other news, this isn't my usual taste, but I've been obsessed with this song and their new album the past few days:
