    Getting a shiny now comes down to statistics with breeding, in the newest games that is. I believe if you have a pokemon which I believe needs to be shiny from another country, and then breed it with one from your country there will be a slight increase in the chance % to breed a shiny. My friend has given me a few shiny eevees that are almost full IV level. of course he kept the full IV level ones. >.>
