I took a look at Diablo III, looks pretty, but the game is pretty much the same. I'll wait until the expansion comes out before I give it a shot, and a new computer.
I dunno, I think all of us that are playing it would say that it is one hell of a time. Try someone's guest pass at least.
in this case the same old is truely a good thing. This game is just terribly addicting. It has been a while since i've put over 33 hours of my life into a videogame that has not even been out for a week yet. There are those two persistent voices in my head pondering about that. One is always: "Yeah! You know you want it! Get that item you little lootwhore!" while the other screams: "You know that new thing called 'being outside'? You should reeeeally try it." it's insane.
That's why I like my work schedule. Most of my gaming is at the late hours of the evening when the only thing I'm doing is saying, "Yea, this quest is definitely worth sleeping in an extra hour."
