This is what I pulled from Flessar's Xcom journal thread. I'll update it as more people make characters. Fless demo grenadier Dihm sharpshooter (pistols)/leader Haki ranger Fet specialist/sharpshooter Orc scout ranger Skwi grenadier Trev grenadier MH grenadier/assault ranger Hollister gunslinger sharpshooter Pidian sniper sharpshooter Don psi/gunslinger sharpshooter Sheo psi Lag specialist Bear specialist Bunny sniper sharpshooter Tuonela gunslinger sharpshooter Damion specialist Kravity grenadier Magnus specialist/assault ranger
It made my character a sharpshooter which actually im fine with. So i guess specialist/sharpshooter im good with either class. To bad you cant make it so they start as a rookie but you decide in character pool what they become at sqauddie.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ep0nigewr81n3x/Don.bin?dl=0 Don lives! And each of you must have him in your game. I also suggest taking a moment to glance at his bio. In case you need incentive as to why you must have him in your squad:
Any stipulations such as levels or whatever we need to follow? Or can we add them to the list however they come. Also, I could create a google doc this weekend that would make this nice and organized. (where's the Spreadsheet Warrior class in XCOM?)
If you start your character as a specialist you can't recruit them from the beginning and they'll be more expensive when they do become available. What I did was recruit everybody at the start then spent time in the Guerilla Training Center to set their specializations rather than using them in missions and leaving their promotion to random chance.
Now that I've played around with it, I think I understand. So xp, loot, equipment doesn't carry over. Mostly just cosmetics and your basic class choice (or Rookie as you mentioned). Seems that more cosmetic unlock the further you level up a character in the game.
As far as I know that's correct. I don't think you can export somebody from within your campaign, what you export is a starting template and each game that uses them is unique. Then again last night was the first time I've played any XCOM ever so I may just be talking out of my ass.
You don't have to do that with Dihm. Once he hits sergeant in whatever class it gives him, you can upgrade the GTC and train him as a Leader.
In my defence I didnt know you could do gender changes in the character menu until after I started my playthrough, so those of you introduced in the opposite persuasion, ahahahahahahahaha jokes on you.
