right? my drives are always measured in minutes or hours, never bother worrying about those silly miles on a side note this is a glorious time to be alive with all these old space adventures coming back for modern updates. lets hope tv trek is as exciting as the new wars and as epic in scope as the citizen
That looks fun as hell but I know I would wreck if I tried to swing a net like that while going that fast
Well, depending on trajectory you can slingshot using the gravity assist from the black hole. Better yet you can combine multiple black holes for one massive boost as with the Voyager vehicles. On the other hand it's possible to botch the trajectory and end up fighting against the pull making the journey take longer. The pleasant effect for passengers is relativistic time dilation which means that the journey feels shorter inside the ship but to outsiders it does not take longer than it's supposed to. Unless you start falling into the even horizon in which case theoretically according to our current models it looks like a ship would freeze in space or even travel back in time. Eg. our calculations break apart which is also called with names such as "point where physics break" or so. "At the heart of a large black hole is a singularity It's a point of inifinite density The accepted laws of physics break down " Essentially a way of saying "we have no idea".
All their gold won't save them from the amount of debt they built by making ghost cities and companies that constantly have multi million dollar looses every quarter. The only thing that I could see happening in the future is if the entire worlds debt including personal debt was erased with everything starting from zero. Could also move to a world currency but very unlikely The debt every nation has just seems to keep going higher and higher. Eventually something is going to break. Though I think every ass clown would then just go on a crazed spending spree and we're back where we were in no time.
No shit? Well, looks like I'm looking it up. Edit: Literally less than 20 min up the road. Projected to open Q3 this year.
Not bad for a 1st gen holodeck. The things my kids will have to play with in 10 years will be incredible. And I'm sure the little shits won't have any idea how lucky they are.
My plan still holds - I don't have much time to play games these days, I'm working to build a fortune so I can quit working when that stuff hits the markets seriously and the first thing I'm going to buy will be that 2 million dollar life extension treatment - after which I will retire to be a full time gamer having had and raised kids so I can say "fuck you all, all of my duties to society and everyone else are fulfilled, now leave me spend my immortality playing games". --- unrelated but funny and didn't want to quadruple post
