As far as i know she always had a pink dress.

 

Yeah but she's drawn all... modern. It's weird.

 

The one in pink, that would be Aurora.

They remade her because she looked a little to much like Cinderella and wanted to give each princess a definitive look.

and i find that funny you choose mulan as she was the one to be considered to break the misogynist disney story telling of a princess always needing a MAN to save a woman in that group. She seems to be one of the more popular ones of the middle films.

its not like the ones prior are all based on 200 year old stories right, that ended rather gruesomely or very screwed up?

and disney only used them as a shell because they didnt have any original thoughts.



But Mulan's also ended badly, because she was to marry a daughter of the emperor. So cant smash two clams together and pop out a kid so she gave up the charade and the emperor made Mulan a concubine, she then killed herself.


they need to remake all the movies in the original story telling.

I think Aurora did originally have a blue dress. And at some point they made it pink. I think it is also for franchising since cinderella already had the blue dress so they gave Aurora the pink one. Was looking it up and in the movie her dress goes from pink to blue many times (because of magic).

 

That was a time when a dollar was a lot of money.

A single dollar then is around 60 to 70 dollars now.

 

Eh, I kinda think Disney movies are enough their own thing at this point that it's okay that they aren't faithful to their source material. They're supposed to be uplifting escapist fantasy and they do that well. And tbh I think people don't give the Disney princesses enough credit. For starters they're all paragons of kindness which is admirable even if it is a Disney cliche. And when you think about it they do all actually either sacrifice something, or endure some hardship, or overcome some adversity to earn their happy ending. The one exception I can think of is Jasmine. She's never really challenged, but then again she's also not really the focus of that movie and has more of a normal non-fairy tail relationship with Aladdin.

That said I do think it's pretty funny that out of all the them the one who most earned her happily ever after ending gets jack squat and even kinda seems to be considered a second-stringer by Disney.

 

not that drinking and driving is a good thing and you should never do it but if it is the only alcohol you have had (first drink) the beer probably is safer than texting while driving. because the beer isn't taking your eyes off the road.
