About 10.5, but a few of us should be on earlier to address any questions and hopefully make things start smoothly.
Me no good in math or google fu... So 10.5h from now should be around 2 am local time, i think im still awake.
Almost forgot, my consulars name is Xi'Phra, my sorceress name is Namesia. Dunno if we're gonna do guild invites or not.
Do the sith get titles like Darth in this game? Or do you need to put that into your name at the start?
Allrighty then, time for little rant. If someone does not have discord/working headphones and is not even close to certain timezones (waiting 10-12h to get some gametime with guildies), in my books its really rude to kick them from the group without even informing him/her via pm/groupchat. This just happened to me (was kicked to get someone (promised spot) else into group), and it was within BORG! Didnt see any groupforming messages in forum or anything. Get a grip people! If you are running these so called guild events/games make sure nobody is left behind without a group to play in, as this incident pissed me off as i waited quite a long time for this. These things make me feel that i dont want to take part in "guild" events in the future or promote the guild.
Firstly I'd recommend logging into discord, they may have said something and just not realized you weren't in the channel, you don't need to have headphones or use the voice function, you don't even need to install the app as you can load discord from a browser. This will allow you the simplest level of communication with the people you're playing with and reduce the chances of confusion and misunderstandings. Chances are the promised spot was provided in chat or voice and not communicated elsewhere, it's certainly a faux pas but hardly inexcusable, however you are right that they certainly should have made certain not only that you were aware of said communications but that you were not abandoned in the process, hopefully things will be less hectic in the future as this is the first official day of this particular gameplay and I'm sure it was an unintentional misunderstanding, however Discord is here to stay and you're doing yourself a significant disservice by avoiding it. for everyone just remember.
Toon, we did not know it was you. We thought that Lauciv invited a random into the group. Sorry about that.
I am so sorry. Pretty sure that came about from me trying to organize everyone into groups out of the people in the voice channel. Guess I'm still getting used to the difference between organizing on TS and Discord but that's no excuse. I will take full responsibility for that and I promise you I won't make that mistake again.
Alrighty, Thanks for all who showed up! A bad storm rolled though my area right at 7 so I had to dip out for the first hour or so. Big thanks to smokey for sorting people out. Sorry that happened Toon, I wasn't around to see it but it shouldn't happen again. Gonna be on tomorrow night again for anyone else who feel like coming along again. Once we are all on the fleet we can sort the groups a little differently since we wont be locked by planets. I may be out next weds because of moving my fiancee but Thursday I should be around.
I can probably make it tomorrow. I've got a bunch of level one guys so maybe we can get Toon and anybody else who didn't get to join this evening caught up? Our group stopped at about level 12 (which is two or three class missions into the planet due to this crazy xp event.)
Had dischord on my machine but it broke. Everytime I clicked a shortcut, it told me the shortcut was broke and deleted it. Tried uninstalling and that failed, as did 3attempts to reinstall. I'll be on early tomorrow so if someone could take pity on me and hand-hold me to a fix, I'd be eternally grateful. Sexual favors are not out of the question.
I just wanna say that even though tonight wasn't 100% hitch free SteelBear deserves a ton of credit for organizing the groups this evening. There's no question in my mind that it wouldn't have gone off half as well as it did without him organizing everyone. Thanks to his effort, despite almost a dozen of us showing up, I think we wound up with three viable groups where everybody got to play the class they were interested in. For anybody that didn't get to join in tonight, I'm figuring on being on tomorrow to help get folks caught up to the rest of the group. I'll be on #general on Discord but I'll also periodically check the forums for anybody not using that yet.
Once we get to fleet we can shuffle the groups so there aren't so many of the same class in a group. So whoever plays tonight please either run with your group from last night and stop at fleet, or jump on another lv 1 and mix things up. I should be able to pop in sometime tonight to make a note of the groups again.
