New challenges to overcome: start only with primitive tech and complete community objectives to advance. Zone control game mechanics: claim artifacts to deny hostile control or claim areas for yourself. A more intelligent PvE experience: you are not the most dangerous thing on the island anymore. A more measured PvP experience: to raid or not raid... the server provides built-in areas for both. I know Blackfire is just giving me shit, but if the load times become a problem for everyone we can chop that down. The biggest mods add a bunch of decorative items to make your hut/castle look nice, but they are not required for me to run the server. The only ones I really need are all the "admin only" mods. Once you are past the very first loading of the map it isnt too bad. think it takes about 90 seconds to log into the island atm

Despite showing promise with initial interest, Ark has not lived up to my hopes as a community rally point for us. I had hoped it could be something we could all play together with minimal barriers to entry, but for various reasons it did not work out this way. It is for these reasons that I am officially announcing the closing of our Ark server on September 30th. However, before that day comes, I would like us to all come together for one big finale event! Please post below your availability. I would like to get as many people involved as possible! I'm leaning towards a Saturday or Sunday, but I'm open to suggestions.

Starting tomorrow (Saturday) at 2p EST we are attempting a raid on the Life's Labyrinth Temple. Expect plenty of traps and puzzles to overcome as we attempt to explore its hidden treasures. No experience or equipment is required. This event is intended to be just for fun so you can expect assistance from me in terms of basic supplies and equipment. I will also provide convenient respawn points for players that want to "test their own mortality". Channel your inner Indiana Jones, and join us for... RAID ON LIFE'S LABYRINTH
