1/8/19 - The group found themselves locked and chained in a rolling cage being captured by a small group of slavers. Through being starved and ignored to "break" them several of them had passed out and just recently been able to come to consciousness. After waiting for the caravan to break for camp, the group still unaware of who each other was and suddenly thrown in a situation they all saw they had to escape, worked together to get free. (Queue Golthi's communication turned suggestion of murder). After some time they managed to get everyone free, and kill the guard without any suspicion from the sleeping slavers. Along with them in the caravan, was a young man name Westly. He was able to guide the group to his home a few hours away. Velos did his best to hide their tracks, set up double tracks and fake tracks in order to throw the slavers off their trail should they try to follow. Oh and the dwarf, they almost forgot about the dwarf that was in the cart with them. Once they arrived in Westly's home. Rothehold, they group was met by Westly's father who was happy to see him, but also very scared as new faces bring potentially new problems. They were also met by the brother of the dwarf they rescued, Gundren. They learn the dwarf they rescued was named Duli. When the dwarf finally awoke, he sees two other dwarves who had sold him out to the slavers. He and his brother fly into a rage. The party attempts to knock the dwarves out instead of killing them, but the two dwarven brothers are focused on getting revenge. They manage to kill the two dwarves which causes the father and tavern keeper to become even more scared. It is not long until a human floats into the tavern, and his servants remove the bodies. After doing so, he leaves some blood red coins for the tavern keep and on the way out flicks one to Golthi, saying how she looks like she leaves death in her wake.
1/15/19 - The group having just found themselves in a small town and potential allies. Attempt to settle down for the night. The tavern keeper wants them gone due to not wanting any more trouble however, his son convinces him to let them stay the night. He went on to explain the troubles the locales have had with slavers and general poverty due to the inability or unwillingness of the leaders of the kingdom to deal with attacks on the lifeblood of the area, the mines. Many mines had been taken over or shut down due to incursions by bandits or other creatures. This was ignored by the council and got to a point where it was out of control. Now the other kingdoms have no interest in assisting, as there is not much to offer outside of the basic mines. Most of the continent is focused on the Adamantine mines in the central kingdom. They also ask about rumors or jobs they might do in town. The tavern keep tells them about A tower not far from the town, but not really knowing much information. He also mentioned that there were rumors about the leader of the town taking young women, however he did not give it much credence. The group was then approached by Gundren who is one of those who was hit recently and had their mining affected. He has asked the group to transport some goods to another town and he would meet them there. The group accepted and got some well deserved rest. The group heads out in the morning but half way into their trip the come across 2 dead horses in the road, their rogue Tabaxi anticipates an ambush and darts into the woods to see if he can head off the attack. He manages to assassinate a goblin hiding in the woods and alert the rest of the group. A few quick rounds of combat and the last goblin is chased off into the woods by the then dire wolf shaped lizard Druid. The group begins investigating the path, follows it and after a few easily found traps they find themselves at the mouth of a cave.
