    Some shortsighted fanbois are upset that Piranha is releasing the game on Xbox, but Phil makes a good point that success anywhere in the franchise is good for the franchise as a whole. Updates and DLC seem likely for the future on all platforms. And more mods for PC to fix whatever is left unresolved. Fine by me.

    I believe you, but I am very confused by these articles:

    In the first, the game is reported in Nov 2020 to release in Spring 2021.

    In the latter, it was stated to be available on Xbox Game Pass... in May of 2020.

    I are confused. Is this just a case of games "jurnilasm" fucking up again?

    No, they legit went live on Xbox Game pass at one point... not sure how console work these days though, so I have no idea if that was limited to PC only, or also went to the Xbox console...

    Its been on xbox game pass for PC since this spring, don't see it in the xbox game pass or on the xbox game store.

    Leave it to microsoft to manage to make their game systems even more complicated than it already was, all for the sake of "branding." Trying to navigate the different stores and passes is a nightmare, if it wasn't for getting 3 years of the xbox gamepass for PC ultimate or whatever it is for a single dollar I'd still be avoiding it like the plague.

    Consumer (console): "hey let me buy this $500 dollar pc that can't be upgrade and is already outdated" or however much the current xbox is. At least playstation has actual console exclusives. Does microsoft even have those anymore when everything ends up on PC?

    Not totally sure on the xbox (console) exclusives, granted Sony are also starting to release their exclusives for PC, there are only one or two that have been officially said to currently being ported over but more are expected.
