Helkan's Mongoose was completed on time with no delays. That Hatchetman HCT-3F MkII dropbox link is for Stynnes' Hatchetman HCT-3S MkII. I'm missing the Hatchetman HCT-3F MkII. In the future, will probably be best to include the pilot's name as well... sooo many Hatchetmen... @Stynnes: I remember you saying you wanted an Axman, but it may still be worth upgrading your old Hatchetman to have as a backup. However, I would seriously reconsider the Hatchetman HCT-3S MkII design. It has way too many heat sinks (17 heat, 24 heat dissipation?). I recommend at least upgrading the Large Laser to a ER version or adding more medium lasers. Also consider putting only two (at most) in the left arm as a precaution to losing said arm. Since the process is rather involved and we won't be doing it again for some time, I am also extending these refits to new members. Naga, let me or Helkan know if you need help with a good Pather refit.
Ok, let me try to fix it, sorry about that. Here is Driver's. Editing his refit post as well. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4k3t2apv4xnalz8/Hatchetman%20HCT-3F%20Driv.mtf
That is EXACTLY the 4S "Yxa", fyi, only with the hatchet flipped. 1 ER Large, 3 Medium (2 in Right Arm, one in left torso). Oh, and a flamer. Cause you need a flamer.
Driver, after reviewing your Hatchetman 3F MkII design i have some recommendations that you consider: 4/6 movement and 6 tons of armor is a baaad combination. you won't be moving fast enough to avoid most fire and you don't have the armor to take much damage... AND you are fitted mostly for short range... AND you have an XL engine. All this adds up to you dying rather early and often unless you intend to stand back and fire only your LB 10 until you run out of ammo. I recommend you either drop the jump jets or downgrade the medium pulse lasers to standard medium lasers (or possibly a mixture of the two) and use the remaining tonnage for armor. As a brawler fitted with an XL engine, you will want maximum armor. Alternatively, you could do both and then also upgrade the engine to go 5/8. This boost in speed would allow you enough mobility to not really need the jumpjets. If you keep the JJs, I recommend placing at least half of them in the torso so you can still jump while partially submerged in water. Don't let the stock Hatchetman fool you, being outran by most mechs on the field is not a good thing for a mech with a Hatchet.
As I have no earlier history of modifying mechs like this in MegaMek, I think I'll go with your recommendation. I think I will strip the jumpjets and downgrade the Medium Pulse Lasers to the ordinary Medium Lasers, then boost the engine and armor. Sounds like a good enough idea.
@DriverMonkey and Helkan: Are you aware that Driver's HCT will take 56,750 minutes to complete? I have not received a formal order using the previously mentioned template: http://www.uobgaming.com/showthread.php?2268-EASYMODE-ACTIVATED-UPGRADE-REQUEST-TEMPLATE Can you please confirm this? Keep in mind you only have 120,000 minutes for the whole lance. Also, this is the current Financial Report I have of your lance, but it is incomplete. Everything is updated. Driver and I are the only ones getting work done since the other two will be getting new mechs.
Naga is buying a new mech?... as in something other than his Panther? I've stated multiple times that even new players can refit their mechs. Is he really staying with a stock Panther? I don't recommend that.
I'll ask, but he wanted to jump up to a warhammer asap, and we should have enough c-bills for that after a few drops.
