Just a shout out to my fellow lefties in the unit. Please, share your hardships of dealing with those damned righties all the time!
Ambi's? Hrm.... forgot about you strange folks. I'm assuming you can actually write well with both hands? 'Cause that's one of the true marks of a ambi.
See, I'm not one of those freakshow ambi's, but I'm not strictly one or the other. I do almost everything left- handed, like throwing and using my primary utensil while eating, but I write and use a mouse right-handed.
Eh I can't write with my left hand but I'm horrible at it. I'm right handed but can use my left just need to train it....
Well, I think most people are like that. It all ties into your eye and limb dominance. I've learned to use a mouse in my right, so that's what I use all the time. But I write, bat, eat, throwing, etc. with my left. But then, I'm also left eye and hand dominate.
all i have to say is... scissors. And smearing the damn ink whenever I use a rollerball pen. I've never even tried to use a mouse left handed though. You can do that?
I can do most stuff with my left hand but writing (mostly because I never use left for writing). And using mouse with left hand was weird had to years ago when I broke my right arm cast from just below shoulder to hand. But for most things I can use my left hand just about as well as my right. I think alot of it is just awareness you have and how well you know the feeling from doing stuff with dominant hand and can translate it to the other hand. Right handed for most things but I've always tied knots the left handed way. By the way I'm right eye dominant.
I HATE that smearing shit. Really bad when I was in art, trying to use charcoal for the first time. Wasn't paying attention and set my hand down on the canvas, smearing a bunch of shit.
Well, my writing is pretty chicken scratch to begin with so the left hand and right hand look about identical. I can do thinks equally well with the left hand that I can using my right with the exception of playing instruments. I am solely right handed when play my guitars and bass. Just feels awkward with instruments.
I play all instruments left handed... Sucks, 'cause left handed instruments are more expensive, generally. Luckily, piano, my latest vocation, it doesn't matter!
And here I was expecting a political argument that I was gonna have to move to the Taboo thread. Pleasantly surprised. But you lefties are weird.
I have the unfortunate affliction of being right handed but writing like a lefty, i know your pain about smearing ink if you are right handed and unsure what that means, it means i hold my pen with the point being closest and the top being pointed away...its hard to explain but most people assume im a lefty
Not to be that guy. But I'm so left eye dominant that I've been blind in my right eye since birth. And lefties unite! BROFIST!
Remember, if the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, only left handed people are in their right minds.
Left is Best! I do almost everything left-handed, with the exception of mouse/keyboard and guitar/other string instruments.
Actually, a lefty playing a right handed instrument is actually better, if you can get over the awkwardness of playing that way. Because of the fact that our left hands are more nimble, it's better for the left to be hitting the notes, as opposed to strumming.
