I thought one of the devs of SWTOR said something about Origin not being a requirement for SWTOR. I could be wrong or be thinking of another game. Give me a few minutes to check.
Yeah, I went ahead and cancelled. There's so many games coming out (Space Marine, Guild Wars 2, Skyrim, Torchlight 2, Diablo 3, Battlefield 3, World of Planes, World of Warplanes, etc etc) that will demand my time I don't plan on wasting it on something that is less enjoyable.
The counter-claim is that NPD doesn't count all the ditigal downloads, and that seems to be a major method of purchase for TOR.
Which also makes it a pretty dick move to just use the NPD numbers as the basis for the stock drop. Fucking uninformed doucheknobs.
yea, i've been playing it some in F2P (was a beta tester that never subscribed). And it's not too bad. I think i'm up to like lvl16 or so as a smuggler
Since this was mentioned by a few people during the guild meeting could we get a poll to gauge interest? The suggestion was to get a group together to play the class stories, which you can do for free with just the base game. Personally Saturday evening's usually best for me. Friday and Sunday evening I'm usually not available, and other days it'll depend on what's going on at work.
I am going to make a new thread in the announcements area later tonight but i need to go work in the new house with the fiancee for a little while before I can do that. I do have good news though. YOU DO NOT NEED ORIGIN TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!!! This game has its own launcher you can get off the SWTOR website (I will put all this in the thread I make)
Me too! I am actively playing on the game and wouldn't mind re-rolling with you guys or what ever. My main character is gonna be kept in her rp guild that I've been part of since the game came out. But everything else is game. (Sith Sorcerer on the Ebon Hawk, lvl 65). I just got back into the game and want to level all the classes at least once to 50 - cause... achievement whore mode activate!
