Yeah... the 4 man grouping is really getting on my nerves too. Somewhat ironic... Planetside 2 allows for 12 people in a squad.
So. The universe has apparently ordained that I'm not allowed to play Planetside 2. Why? Because when I got home today, my computer was off. Which was odd because I had left it on last night to finish downloading PS2. Once it was booted, and I had Steam up and running, surprise surprise, PS2 was no longer on my games list. Nowhere to be found. Looking at my total drive space used, it seems to have been downloaded, because the drive is at 5.83 GB free instead of the 13 or so it was before. But guess what? Even though I found a image in the Steam files showing the PS2 icon, I cannot find the fucking .exe for it. Anywhere. It seems my computer has chucked it down into the abyss. Have fun guys.
Yeah, so looking through Steam support website, I found something, that while I can't get back what I've already downloaded, I could move the location of my Steam folder. By deleting everything except the Steam.exe and the Steamapps folder. I figured, since I'll likely end up downloading more games through Steam, I may as well move it to the Hard drive with more space. So I've moved it to my E drive. I'm currently updating any games that need it, which currently is Tribes: Ascend. I'll have to redownload PS2 again. Don't expect me in game for another three or four days.
Yeah, so I'll probably be playing again tonight. The more people we can get, the more fun it becomes!
THIS. even i have to admit that playing this game by yourself is no fun. i also do not recommend spending very much money on unlocking new weapons. most of the default stuff is adequate (and upgrading them with in-game cert. points makes them better). for 130 certs you can vastly improve any weapon (about 3-4 days of average play). also the real money pricing is totally fucked. if you wamt to spend money anywhere, High Explosive rounds {anti-infantry) for vehicles and dual scatterguns for MAX are the way to go right now. you will get massive killcounts against infantry with either. also, dual anti-air guns for the MAX seems to be the best Anti-Air option right now (besides flying a swarm of Reavers).
Yea those rockets are a biiig upgrade, or the A2A missiles. If you're going air heavy obviously want to invest there.
I may surpirse myself and actually spend a little money on this. We'll see. If nothing else, I want to get the closed helmet for the heavy infantry. I hate open helmets.
fyi: it's a double xp weekend. (Expect for those already registered you will have received an email of course)
TR and Valnushtefuh whatever... I don't think we should give the enemy the honor of being called by their official names. Reds and purples are now Elmos and Barnies respectively.
