So, some of us already knew CD Projekt was working on cyberpunk game. Well, here's the first teaser trailer for it: Link to Kotaku's news about the trailer My approximate reaction to the trailer: I'm not super hardcore cyberpunk fan but I like the genre very much, and this feels very much like a game I'd love to play.
Oh hell yes. Cyberpunk is my second favorite dystopian future setting, only losing slightly to Fallout. Soo... go cyberpsycho or GTFO?
Coincidentally, the year 2077 has quite some significance in Fallout as well. Trailer was pretty cool, though its going to have a hard time competing with DXHR for my favorite cyberpunk setting. I'll have to keep my eyes out for some gameplay.
Weeeeeee! I might have to dig out Motley Crue Kick Start My Heart just to take me back....back to the future!
Keep in mind those graphics are what theyre aiming for, not what it's necessary gonna be like. Looks awesome though. Had a definite Ghost in the Shell feel to it.
Yes, Cyberpunk is a genre, not a thing. BUT! The first tabletop RPG that came out was called "Cyberpunk 2050". So.... Guys... Do you think Cyberpunk 2077 is based on -that- setting, only, 27 years in its future? Me want! Cyberpunk is by far my favorite gender. Playing a skillwired decker in our current Shadowrun table-top also helps...
This is that Cyberpunk. Thus the name. In fact Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk the PNPRPG, is working with CD Projekt on the game.
