Liking it. The star fighter variant of mwo and wot. Nick is the same as here. I currently have fully kitted t1 and the start of a t2 set.
A few questions I have that I haven't taken the time to track down: What are the sniper weapons I can see some of the ships using. I believe they are frigates, but my frigates (granted, I don't have many) don't have a sniper gun option. Also, I have seen someone use a cam guided missile. Any idea on these?
All factions ships have different abilities. The snipers are the fed frigs iirc. And the cam guided missiles are the Jericho frigs.
What Axe said. Fed frigates have the drones which, tbh, pale in comparison to Empires sniper frigate and Jerichos guided missiles. Sniper can block open areas and guided missiles can flush out people hiding behind asteroids.
Hmmm... caved in and bought the Elite Pilot Pack. This game is good example of "rough diamond". Gameplay wise great, entertaining and audiovisually really enjoyable experience with some minor/major issues that raise their heads from time to time. Still, I'm willing to look past of the problems at the moment, and I have generally good feeling about this game, so I'm willing to invest into it. Also, as some of you may know already, I'm a spaceship porn junkie.
Gizhmo, Hak, Orc and I tried to play a match together yesterday... server had issues, no games to be had. Sadness ensued. Still working on my fully kitted T1 fighter (Lynx/Fed). Cloaking is fun. Increases your survivability by a lot when used right.
About matchmaking if you don't know yet, if you are a 4-man it will try to put you to Tier 2 matches even if you have Tier 1 ships. If you want to stay in T1 matches with your T1 ships you can only have 3-man group. It's a bit weird but that's how it works at the moment. Even one T2 ship will flag your whole group as T2 group, btw EDIT: Have to say I'm liking this game more with every match. I made some hasty conclusions about the game first, but once you understand the mechanics it gets better. Really fun matches with Axe and Gizhmo today. My favourite was the one where I got 17 assists total and 14 as Neuron frigate. Medals, ho!
Works on my craptop...works SURPRISINGLY well on my craptop. gts 9800 graphics card? No problem, runs damn smooth. However a complete reinstallation of windows on my main comp seems to have solved the issues it was having. Just reinstalling star conflict now, testing it out, and getting back to writing these damn papers.
Oh god I love Intercepters. not that I live very long at all. I run into people and I'm dead, Even with dodging and what not. and let's not forget if I get hit by one of them Jer frigates super special awesome missiles. I'm pretty much dead on the spot *sadface*
Am Empire but don't seem to last very long when dropping into battles. Anyway, is anyone else having issues last night GMT? I tried logging in and after waiting in queue it kicked me out. ON the logon screen it says versions do not match but was working fine over the weekend. Since I've been having MWO connection issues last two days thought I'd give this a go.
I'm finding the Fed cloaking ability clutch for survival. Haven't tried the Fed frig yet or T2, heard the fed fig is not that good
So I made an account about a week ago (going by Lochlan, quelle surprise) but only had a chance to play for about an hour. Skip forward to yesterday: I get a chance to play it some more and actually figure stuff out and I really like what I've seen so far. But since I've wasted all my free premium time and bought ships I didn't end up liking I figured I would just start a new account. UNFORTUNATELY, once you have an account linked to your steam account, you CANNOT use a different account through the steam app, and as near as I could find there's no way to unlink an account. So now I'm downloading a separate version of the game to see if that works. Le sigh. EDIT: Non-steam version was a success. Now time to blow up spaceships.
