I will definitely check into that and see if I can get it resolved. Our format does use dark text boxes for forum posts, it should say "Write your reply......" and turn into a white text cursor when clicked on.
I set up my dummy account with the same forum permissions that you have and used Firefox, posting worked fine there. It doesn't appear to be a host issue, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies and trying again?
