New WT Patch 'improves' Simulator Battles by making them 'Tournament' style matches. That is: No markers. Specific vehicles only. And combined arms. Result: If you want to play a specific vehicle? Play RB (with the annoying points=spawn system and incomparable matchmaker) or AB and turn off chat. Taking a break from WT. This is bullshit.
Can you elaborate what that means? You're stuck to choose vehicles from a given list or not fight simulator battles? Interesting to see one team have a combined US & Soviet force. Afaik & imho the mixing of equipment wasn't as such, more like a squadron might have spitfires or mustangs etc., not an all stars team.
They've removed the Simulator battles from 1.41+ (pick one tank and wait in queue. Fight for as long as you have respawns) and replaced them with the Combined Forces "Special Events" have been optional for the last few months. You can take -only- what is on the list.
Must agree with Varg here - they've really fucking miffed it this time. WT is usually steps forwards, then steps back again, but right now they're in a drunken barn dance. In stead of changing all SIM matches to "No Markers" like everyone wanted, they went and removed normal SIM matches and restricted all SIM activity to the flavour of the week tournament. I haven't flipped my shit for a while at a game, but after my 5th match of having my BR5.0 Shermie A2 try and fight Tigers and Panthers, I just quit. I have 10 premium days left as well. Wonder if I can bitch to Customer Care about it?
Yup ^^^ I almost got scared earlier: Accidently dropped into an AB match....WTF!?......I wondered what the hell with red flashing symbols and XX needs plane cover want to fly and crap like that. Never go arcade again

Honestly I stopped playing Warthunder completely. I played the shit out of that game too. Match balance, etc, is shit and I don't agree with removal of SB.
Last game launched was end of February, we moved to the temporary flat in March and stayed there until May, moved to out new place beginning of June and still waiting on our DSL line. So yes, four months ago was the last time we could play a game where one could not peek around a corner or watch your minimap more than your sights.
