I'd like to set up some boarding-party practice. Two teams as evenly matched as possible (numerically and statistically). No AI on a passworded server. Park the cap ships near each other and take turns boarding, assaulting, and doing everything but destroy the core of the other ship. Halfway decent Capture-The-Idris practice, I suppose. Fun and point-farm-tastic, certainly.
Looks like 5 people so far. I think we can work with that. For such a small group, we'll use the two frigates and split asymetrically based on character level. If we're all on, we should take a crack at it. Provided, of course, everyone can connect to the host. Let's shoot for Sunday the 18th? Saturdays seem to be low pop for us since there's so much real life to get done before winter hits.
What time Sunday? I was dumb and took a full work shift, but I'm done around 5 PM EST, and home shortly after.
Evening is our best bet. Per usual, aim for 6 or 7p EST. I should be awake by then. Trev makes six people so far.
On another note: I got to 16, 10, 8 tonight. Makes for a well balanced loadout. The MMG (both sides get it, but I forget the name), Turrets, and an Ammo deployable. Find a choke point, pop the turrets, and blast anything that pokes it's head up.
Lore: http://www.affuniverse.com/mediawiki/index.html#Category_History_of_the_Universe.html Note: Not only are the AIA troopers cybernetically enhanced, but a good chunk of the Navy is made up from a pirate fleet that was paid to join their ranks. Imperial Cyborg Space Pirates. Thankyou, yes.
We played this a bit quite a while back. I think they've gotten a bunch of updates since then. I have a copy, might be interested in booting it back up for some 'borg fun.
