I was lookinf around the Forums and did not see a thred on this so here you go . wat i am relly looking for is to have some on pant up a Catapolt in unit collers .
I think I have a few Ral Partha catapults floating around. You want metal, plastic, or wizkids heroclick?
Any thing at this point I was even thinking of bieing a starter set just for the catapolt my local hobby shop cant get anything in .
I got a -bunch- of the wizkids heroclix ones, I enjoyed playing that iteration almost as much as the original mechwarrior cardgame (I still have the original box and die that came with it)
I have some old RP mechs sitting in a box in my parents attic and i have two Wizkids mechs that i got from a bargain bin at a local Game con. It is a Raven and a re-seen Marauder that i am thinking about repainting in Skjaldborg livery. But i am currently out of paint so it sits on a shelf for now. I am also very tempted to "donate" to this and get me a raven... or if he ever gets around to do the -4SP or the Jenner.
I wonder if thares a place out thare that cam take the modle.frum the gamr and tern out a plasric modul
uhm... what? actually I bet someone'll inevitably make 3d modules for the 3d printers once they become more readily available (and reasonably priced)
ya Ummm what sorry about the spelling .. I wonder if someone has dun a Papper modil of a catapolt frum Mwo .
In case you have not yet seen them, some of the regulars over on the MWO Fan Art forum have been making some amazing 3d-printed miniatures of MWO's mech models, see here (minnies) and here (pose-able Atlas). Apparently you just need access to a 3d printer and know how to open the game models with CAD software... I know there would be a sizeable crowd of Battletech and MechWarrior fans that would readily purchase these were they available for sale. As for paper models of MWO mechs, I believe someone has already unwrapped in-game texture maps to make them though I can't seem to find the thread. Worth a look through the Fan Art forum for other neat projects anyway.
Speaking of miniatures. I have seen a comeback of metal Btech figs at my local gaming store. Not a ton mind you, but more shelf space than I have seen in several years. And... do I need to take out my btech figs and my camera?
A local gaming store nearby has tons of those, going for roughly $20 a box. I'm tempted to pick a few up when I have the money.
Ebay check out this Ebay serch . http://www.ebay.com/sch/Toys-Hobbies-/220/i.html?_vxp=mtr&_nkw=Battletech Catapult
Okay guys, I gotta toss this out (details will follow in a day or two). I was at Comic Con today and ran across a 3d printer that should be available by Christmas that will cost under $500. They will be launching a kickstarter soon. I saw several of the "printed" sculptures. They were friggin AWESOME! I paid more than $500 for my first inkjet.
Yeah there's some real high quality printers out there for under $1K They've really improved alot over the past couple years!
really looking forward to consumer grade 3d printers, hopefully they'll be followed by some consumer grade 3d modelling software XD (for dummies, like me
I will get some pics up on my blog soon, but the website for the company making it is: zenikinetic.com
