    pretty much why i'm getting it one steam. and just so i don't have to screw around with going to a website or email or anything that isn't as simple as just opening steam to install it for whatever reason (if i happen to uninstall, get a new pc whatever).

    Yeah, I kinda want to be all gung-ho on DRM free sites, but Steam has been awfully damn convenient for me over the years. Particularly when I was having some problems and had to do a few drive wipes.

    exactly how i feel these days. Steam is still a form of DRM, but it's not annoying in-my-face DRM. the fact that i can still play any game when my internet cuts out makes all the difference... unless of course that specific game has some extra bullshit DRM attached to it, but that's hardly Steam's fault and I boycott games that do that anyway.

    Also, rhetorical question: if you are a publisher, why the fuck would you put additional DRM on games sold by Steam? (looking at you, Ubisoft) That makes zero fucking sense to me. It's not like that DRM is inherently tied to the product... we know this now from past screw ups.

    Ubisoft removed most of that DRM bullshit, FYI. Sometime last year.

    Still can't play Anno 2070 with logging in on two additional occasions. Though the older Anno's have been relieved of that crap, I'll admit.

    So apparently the story is taking place rimward of the Inner sphere.... I do believe you may still get your shot at working for the Concordat, if you can afford loosing money for your pride!

    With moving to a place that has intermittent dial up internet currently and is in a country that generally is blocked from many streaming sites and software download places...
    What would you all recommend for choosing where I should get my game from?

    Possibly, Varg has threatened to do it before. Realised that I could remember my account with Humble but not GoG so went that way for it, go figure that remembering a password would be the deciding factor.

    Because I am a sick Human being....

    Not only are we getting the competition stream but they are planning on streaming Battletech tabletop every Tuesday and Friday for some time. Apparently it will be an ongoing campaign starting next Tuesday.

    Anyone else watching the stream?

    It is very entertaining. They are using the donations to charity to buy in game modifiers. Someone donated $500 to repair an Awesome, for example.

    Atlas blown up from a single crit... Awesome repaired from being almost wreck... and Cat almost out. Ouch...

    Eh, that repair on Awesome and artystrike left bad aftertaste:unamused:
