my Battlemaster took out the griffin, shadowhawk and locust. griffin was 1 attack and punched the armor and nearly took out the CT from the back and the 2 MGs finished it off. then it went "fuck you" to the shadowhawk and just took the head off with a punch and killed the pilot (yep pilot death is in the game) the the locust it just took off the right leg, RT and CT all with 1 melee attack. commando was taken out by my Treb. My two urbie's did almost nothing and one the pilot was killed.

Damage increasing spot on desert is Mineral field, its 2 sprint moves up north from standing point near big rock formation. Its double edged sword though, as it increases both enrgy dmg dealt and taken.

Diffrent firing patterns of same class cannons are confirmed, thats how they plan to differentiate manufacturers, it was in paradox stream I belive.

Apparently its possible to kill pilot without breaching cockpit, just need to shake him hard enough (like throw down couple times), just finished a game where my last kill was Atlas with no section destroyed.

There's a range of weapon manufacturers (yay!) and quality level tiers (dafuq?) in the folder

The Battlemasater is pretty nice for beating up smaller units, but the Awesome and Atlas stomp the hell out of it in melee.

(Atlas is no surprise, but the Awesome is.)

Anyone else noticed you can game the crap out of the heat mechanics? I was playing a game last night where my treb spent a couple of rounds in overheat, then I went full alpha strike with my heat bar already near max, expecting something to blow up.... ButI just got the usual light internal structure damage and the mech shut down.. Was I just super lucky? Doubt it...

Nope. Overheating and shutdown doesn't really seem to have risks.

particularly if you reserve the unit for the enemy's turn, alpha strike, and then restart first thing in the next. That and being knocked down seem to have fairly limited overall impact. Getting knocked down does open you up to called strikes, but even that isn't a guarantee, even if you have 100% chance to hit. I think they've gone very conservative with these mechanics, perhaps they will be something that can be scaled up and down manually in the future, and currently they're just on the very minimalist setting.

Lost my first game and still had a blast. Got way too cocky spreading my forces and paid for it. But in true Borg fashion my final death came from a DFA to a panther, killing it and shearing my shadow hawk's legs. This game is a ton of fun and it's still in the early stages.

Yep. The only time i start actually trying to manage my heat is when a good qmount of the mech is open and no armor.

So out of the last 3 matches, I lost the first two without killing a single enemy but making them stretch out to turn 25+. My last game I won in turn 5 with each of my 4 mechs getting a kill. Urbie killed a treb, treb killed a cent, Orion killed a Awsome, Panther killed a Loctust. The Urbie and Orion were headshots on turn 4.

Does anyone know if the Beta is supposed to be open to all backers or just above a certain level?

Need to double-check before I send a ticket or something

I think you had to buy a certain package and up to get in the beta. I want to say it started at the $50 package.

Hot damn, just tried the Victor. Might like it even more than the Battlemaster. Though the Battlemaster is a pretty tall order.

Jumping the victor behind an atlas. And not DFAing it.

I have such a hard time not DFAing things. Even when I know I'll do more damage with an alpha to the ass, I just can't resist drop kicking mechs in the chest.
