Wondering if anyone else has heard of this MMO. Its a Korean mmo but from what I know they are trying to get away from the traditional theme park style mmo. It will also be free to play from what I can tell with a cash shop for things like clothes, pets, mounts, house hold items, etc. the character creator is freaking insane. possible nsfw Spoiler
Another thing I forgot to add is that the skills are not used like a normal MMO where you just click a key on the board of a number 1 to 0 or what ever. . They are done through a set of keyed inputs that create combos to preform specific skills. The skills are learnable with upgrades to the skills to give them special abilities.
supposed to be EU and NA by early mid 2016. its still your typical Korean mmo but trying to get away from the theme park style but don't really see how as its a Korean grinder somewhat. edit. they need to have that style of character creator for star citizen. you can change almost anything on the character model to a degree of believability
It is what a lot of people playing Archeage were looking forward to.. not sure if I will do that again. I do not think I want to do another Korean MMO... just not my kind of game.
I was very interested in this until I saw the combat. Ick. It looks gorgeous and if crafting is up to snuff I will give it a go. Also, waiting on Blade and Soul.
From what I know Archeage was ruined by the publisher bringing it to the states. I heard about blade and soul about four years ago. Still waiting on it. Doubtful it will ever get here, supposed to be this winter though. there is also Peria Chronicles which is a open world sandbox mmo. they are going more of a cell shaded anime look. and yes, that is players using in game scripts to make things function they way they want or build silly crap. Like the tetris game they did.
There are alot of interesting mmo from korea and japan. The problem is that most of these games dont fit that well with the western market. Most mmo games from Korea tend to be very grind heavy which the western market doesnt like. As such, when a game appears on the western market it usually does with a heavily reduced grind. The worst case i have heard about was " What took the Koreans 2 years to do, the Americans did in 6 months". Thats why we see these games fail when they make an appearence. They were designed for a different type of player.
It looks great, the character creator alone should be the standard every realism-focused MMO aspires to, but the gameplay doesn't do enough different from the oversaturated market to get me excited. If it's F2P, I'll probably play it for a week. If not, I'll likely pass.
It's supposed to be free to play with a cash shop, I think they are also doing a subscription for bonus perks. Cash shop has a huge selection of clothes items, full outfits, lingerie type stuff for female and male characters, pets, huge assortment of mounts from horses, camels, elephants, wagons, and so on. Then there are also items to fully customize your houses interior.
There adding a new region into the game, along with new stuff to fight and a new class. First video is rather long and just shows the area and second one is the mobs with new assassin class sneak peak. Video is somewhat fuzzy because youtube sucks, even then texted font looks fuzzy as hell.
I just checked out how this game was going and actually got a bit excited for it. Seems like one of the more decent mmos to come but I'll remain skeptic till it hits the market here. Also will be B2P in the EU and US. Btw that character creator is overkill. I feel like I will be spending 2 days in that alone. There is a something like too much customizability
The hype for this game reminds me of ArcheAge. Everyone is like "wow its the best thing ever" Then 4 weeks after release no one is still playing it. But the buy to play model makes me hope just a little bit.
There is a ton of cosmetic stuff you can buy for money so they seem to be going in the right way. staying away from DLC money grabs to stay current and just going with cosmetic stuff with game purchase seems like the best bet.
That character creator... wow... thought those were real people at first. Also... it's not a Korean MMO without jiggle physics amiright?
