It looks similar to what Nissan and Toyota make for Africa Asia and Middle East. They are extremely common here but most do have the full 4 door cabs.

The 2014 honda ridgline had the unibody but the 2016s coming out soonish don't. so no idea if a unibody design will make it. I do think it would do better if it did have a full crew cab with the full 4 doors not the half doors for the back. of course it could be an option to have a full crew cab. most crew cabs have an option with short box or long box. I think if you go long box that means the shorter crew cab. I still find it odd about the engine for the hyundai being only diesel because not every gas station has diesel. also it's a small truck why diesel?

I like the Yamaha FZ-07. I'm currently looking at a Triumph Rocket 3 for long cruises. Also thinking about the Triumph Street Triple or Tiger for a daily rider. Although, I will probably not get one because I am barely at home as it is, and when I am there's no guarantee that it will be during decent riding weather.

Last summer I "had" to go ride my friend's street triple R for him since it had been sitting neglected after he broke his leg badly on a ktm 250 and was still on crutches. It was a great bike, very capable, comfortable, and so smooth that it was bordered on boring. Seriously, its so nicely done that there isn't drama with it and truth be told coming from a KLR and DR 650's and my normal RC51 it was almost too smooth for my taste. Granted I was taking it around some nice roads in Atlanta and city streets, so it wasn't like taking it to the mountains, but it ate it up nicely. If I lived where he does in Atlanta, I wouldn't think twice about buying one, it works very well. While I love bikes with drama, my RC is all but impractical there, anything over an hour ride is painful on a track bike. The street triple on the other hand is beautiful to ride around town and then hit the road for the hour or two up to the north GA mountains where it will be incredible on the winding roads. I have a hard time finding a better mix of street bike and performance bike. Personally if given the chance I'd try a scrambler for a daily city/occasional dirt road adventure, the tiger is far more capable, but that classic triumph look is hard to pass up.

Someone else that understands that a super sport is not meant to be daily ridden. Super sports are the weekend have fun bike, leave the daily duty to the naked street fighters. So many would be pro riders always tell you to get a liter bike like a R1 or a gixer 1k or something because you will need the extra power for daily use. Wait what. That doesnt make sense because supers dont start to make power till past the 8 to 9k rpm range and reving that high is seriously impractical on a packed road where most daily riding is only ever around 3 to 7k rpm. Its like they dont even understand the actual purpose of certain bikes. I had a R6 because it was nice long roads with almost no traffic where i was in the marines and it was awesome. But when i got out of the marines and came back to orlando fl, the R6 was way out of place in my opinion and started to suck. Would much rather have a cruiser or naked that has lots of low end torque around the orlando central florida area with these packed roads.

I understood that but I still love my Buell 1125R for daily riding, but my area is mostly rural highways and interstate with short stretches of city riding. Also I am the only farmer in the area with a sport bike. All the other farmers that have bikes are cruisers and a couple adventure bikes.

Oh yeah, when I'm not being a mercenary (aka defense contractor) or beach bum in the south pacific, I'm a farmer. I have an odd life.

You really can't compare v twin sport bikes to inline 4 sport bikes.

Two totally different monsters in my opinion with the v twin being more street friendly then a inline 4.

A v twin normally needs twice the size of the inline 4 to make comparable power. My r6 after I got a full exhaust and k&n filter I was hitting 132 hp at around 14600 rpm. The v twin will have more torque but much lower rpm range normally around 8 to 10k at most. Even Ducati v twin engines don't generally go over 10k if memory serves.

Just learned that yamaha makes a 300cc sport bike now. The YZF-R3. I almost want to get that just so i can ram the throttle all the time and not have to worry about rocketing into someones rear-end like my R6. Full throttle for a few seconds and your already going around 70 to 80 mph.

    the R3
321cc, supposed to make ~40hp at 11k rpm.
weighs around 370lbs wet. talk about flickability. why i like 600's better then liter bikes.
and it also looks like a normal sport bike, not like the old ninja250 did back in the day. man that thing was hideous compared to the bigger ninjas.

It's been said many times, "it's more fun to ride a small bike fast than a big bike slow"

Went up to the dealer today. Sat on a few bikes. The SR400 sits really nice for a old style standard, its even kickstart, it was the most neutral feeling bike I have ever sat on if that makes sense. R3 is very small and narrow compared to the bigger bikes. I like it but I don't know about 7k out the door like, basically 2k added to base price for every bike here. I hear people getting 5500 out the door on the R3 but florida is a shit hole for getting deals on bikes. Maybe inventory just moves to fast but there are a lot of dealers down here compared to where i was in north carolina. Maybe i'm looking at the wrong place. or just crappy luck on older models. which I don't get when both year models are the exact same thing. with that being said. Going with the FZ-07, its a nice naked bike with a parallel twin with lots of low end torque for daily driving. The twin is also a 270 degree crank so it sounds nice and deep with a good exhaust.

This is also the color im going with. Much prefer the 15 colors then 16 but i hear the dealer can order new pieces for around 300 dollars or so.

Going to head to another dealer and see about their pricing as well. The place is also a suzuki dealer and since the new revised SV650 is coming out and it looks better then the FZ-07 in my opinion. Using a 650 L twin with a steel tube trellis frame, circle light, gives it that older style feel like a ducati monster 900. Always been with team blue but who knows what may happen. Supposed to be around 6500 msrp.

That rear fender goes on for days!!! :shootself:
between it and that seemingly tacked on can down low makes me really want to build an undertail exhaust to clean up the lines. Those finely routed exhaust pipes and small details in the exposed engine and frame, then they put a huge lump of a muffler on it.

You talk as if the stock exhaust matters.. lol

thats always the first thing to get replaced. besides different mirrors and rear fender kit.

and yay.. that is the most ridiculous rear fender I have seen so far. I think its because of the new DOT rules.

My 07 R6 came with a recall back in 09 i think it was, 2 years after i bought it so they could move the reflectors on the front forks like 1 inch.

When i was at the dealer checking the FZ-07 out, I shared my opinion of my interest in the R3 and almost instant reply of.. You dont want that..

I almost said, dont tell me what I freaking want. but im sure my face did all the talking.

which is why im a little put off going back and going to go check out the new SV650.

What i would really want is honda to pull their head out of there ass and put the hornet 250 engine into the CBR250R, pipe the exhaust under the seat like the 600rr. That would be a awesome motorcycle. The hornet 250 uses a 250cc inline 4 that makes around 42 horsepower. It sounds totally nuts going down the road and revs up to 16k RPM. That would be absolutely awesome for a little 250 super to run around on.

Just got back from the other dealer near me, about a 45 minute drive but fuck it.

These people were much nicer then the original one I went to.

Also quoted out the door price of almost 1000 dollars less. Guess it pays to drive a bit farther.

No SV650 yet but they said maybe around 3rd quarter. Should also be the same price as the FZ-07 so much to think about since I also got a quote for a KTM RC 390 for 7100 out the door. The other dealer wanted 74 and change for a R3 which the RC390 is 500 dollars more base price. Has ABS, better tires, better engine, 20 lbs lighter or so. But for 1500 dollars more you get a lot more bike in the SV650.

    Here's the KTM RC 390

All of them are very nice options. I would narrow it down to 2 and do test rides. Not all dealers will let you but if you are really serious about buying one that day or in the very near future, and have your motorcycle license and insurance, they might let you. The Harley dealer near me lets me do it but the owner is also a family friend...

Ive been watching youtube reviews for a while. Mainly first rides from normal people not actual journalist because they are just trying to sell the bike, and have totally different tastes then the average person. I want a honest everyday persons thoughts on the bike. I have my motorcycle license as it is required in florida. They have test rides every now and then down here but every time one comes up i have to work.

im most likely going to wait for the SV650 since i want to see and sit on it first before making a decision. The FZ-07 is also nice but very supermoto like. Not like a normal naked or standard. and that face on the FZ is absolutely ugly but that shouldnt really matter as only the ride is what matters.

RC390 is nice but i think the sv650 will be a bit better in the end for 1500 more.

though i could get the RC390 and then just trade it out for the sv650 in a year or so.
