I cheated and ordered using tunnel bear as a vpn to show me in Germany so my region would be Europe for the purchase to allow me to access it anywhere in the world. This isn't a huge deal as there are only 3 regions CIS (CIS country access only), Europe (anywhere in the world access), and other (anywhere in the world except logging in from Europe for access)
For the Edge of Darkness (top level with season pass for dlc) the price shown by logging in from a german IP address was lower than the USA IP address so I ended up paying roughly $0.80 more even with the 19% VAT added on showing up in Germany than if I had bought it directly from the states using the same amazon payment (cheaper payment charge than paypal for the same locations)

not sure what is and isn't under nda (tried to read it all to see what I could talk about but it was a bit vague, actually make that really vague) there are some unity issues with oddball monitor sizes (so I have to edit the config files for resolution before launching with my 34 ultra wide each time I load it up, it is definitely an alpha on that part but there is good community support for workarounds to some of the big known issues) I managed to load it up and start in the factory, and it is just like in the game play trailers, I died with in 3 min from bleed out after running from a gunman that I never even saw, but I could hear him hunting for me as I groveled in a blackened corner. I was in the offline pve testing mode for my first foray out, needless to say that you need to sneak big time when you only have a knife to start with. I'll try to see if I can post more info up as I try it out, from the looks of it the "chance to get into the alpha" for lower prebuy tiers is fairly good. or so a friend told me

the latest patch takes care of some of the issues. It is nerve racking clearing buildings and searching for items. Not one that my friend would recommend playing at night with the lights turned down, or at least tell everyone in the house that they enter your room at their own risk when you are playing. Arma3 Epoch mod and day z seem peaceful and relaxed to me by comparison. This game would be awesome if you had a small team working together, just pray you don't run into another team working together or well hidden shooter in an ambush site.

 

no monsters that I am aware of, they seem to want to have two main pmc groups for east vs west for the story line and then scavenger locals/criminal small bands who have taken over in the absence of any law and order.

 

rumor is that the embargo on videos and images will drop very shortly with a new alpha build. Also some changes to the nda apparently, most all preorders should be in on the next round from what I've heard from a "friend". sadly my personal experience has been lacking with being on the road for the last few weeks.
