    3. Haki (w/ 1 kill)

Fill in YELLOW fields with your info to calculate your rewards.

The below example is for Trev in his Axeman. Since he was the first to be defeated, his survival position is zero. Notice that even though he got last place, he still managed to get some reward for taking part. Rewards increase exponentially the better you do.

Play around with the calculator to see how different variables change the results.

Some key differences between Missions & Arena Games:
    • Arena games pay exponentially more in rewards depending on how many players there are.
    • Arena games always give some rewards regardless of performance, but better performance will give greater rewards.
    • Failing missions will cause you to lose Reputation with your employer.
    • You also lose reputation with the faction you attack in missions.
    • Generally speaking, it is easier to gain Reputation than it is to lose it so it is possible (but difficult) to max out Reputation with all factions.
    • Taking less BV than your enemy will always give you bonus Reputation (and reduces penalties if you lose). Higher risk always means higher reward.

    Cross-post!

Quick update for ya Magnus. Tzeentch only ended up with the kill on Trev. Haki got Tzeentch with the SRM to the dome. I got Haki with the leg sweep. So we all got 1 kill credit except Trev. Sowry!

If I'm doing this right Magnus, I add 37.12 Rep points to my existing 100 (round down?), and I gain 721.2k C-Bills?

You had mentioned the multiplier during the match the other day, is the spreadsheet already taking that in to consideration I assume? So no need to multiply anything by that '2.928042328042328' number?

You are correct in your calculations above.

The multiplier I mentioned yesterday is old info now. I reworked the math on everything yesterday, but the premise is essentially the same; the smaller your BV is compared to the rest of the opposition, the more you get in rewards. Of course, you still have to win if you want to maximize rewards, but I wanted everything to be based around "risk vs. reward" and leave it up to the player to find the middle ground that best suites their style.

You may notice that Arena combat pays significantly more under certain circumstances (ie. when there is a large number of opponents). Like all professional sports, there is obviously a lot of money to be made in giant robot arena combat. However, there are no guarantees of victory in the arena. By comparison, missions allow for a lot more "tactical control" on the side of the player and could prove to be a more consistent income. Again, which you prefer will come down to personal preference.

With the blessing of the Almighty Magnus, I'm proud to announce that I will be taking wagers for all future arena matches. All bets will be 50k c-bills for convenience and fairness, and all transactions will be handled by Magnus (or another GM when we have one). Any wagers can be sent to me in a pm and no wagers will be accepted after the match begins.

Right now it will be you bet 50k, your bet wins, you win 50k. We'll see how that goes before I dive into odds.
