Hi all this is chaos585 from the 1stRDR and also the FRR Hub's Event Coordinator just stopping by and saying Hello I have pretty much become the de facto diplomat for 1stRDR due to my Hub involvement so if anyone has anything that you want to send our way feel free to give me a shout. I may also post upcoming events/recurring events under this thread that are coming up on the hub as well to keep all of the FRR units informed.
I understand that everyone doesn't make their way over to the MWO forums but I am going to bring it over here to spread the word to all our FRR brethren! Saturdays starting at 1700 EST Henceforth will be known as Sync Drop Madness (until private lobbies) on the FRR Hub. Everyone is welcome even those that don't pay allegiance to the FRR to participate in this event (though I would hope to see more FRR than non). Goal will be to swarm the MWO servers with massive amounts of Bloodthirsty Space Vikings seeking our rightful place in Valhalla and make the other factions know that the FRR is a force to be reckoned with! If anyone has questions on the details of this event or needs the information to find your way over to the FRR Hub contact chaos585 on either enjin, the MWO forums, or on the TS3 FRR Hub. Thank you everyone for the welcome! No Problem just trying to get it out where everyone can see it so it doesn't become an exclusive to certain groups. My goal at the moment has been trying to get events out that can hopefully start bringing the FRR as a whole out together from time to time. This event may undergo some changes when the launch module comes out (can we say lance vs lance matches/duels/company drops/etc...) but even those are going to be for the better due to being able to have private matches of our choosing if we so wish. All of this is to just have fun with the game for a night and not worry about the grind.
Very cool! I hope I have time to join in on some of that. I've really enjoyed my time on the FRR server and the people I meet there.
The Day is upon us this evening grab your pint of mead hop into your cockpit and meet us on the Dropships on the FRR hub it is time to show the community that we may not own as many planets as their factions but we are not to be trifled with. I have a good Idea how I am going to run this event after last nights participation in Drunk Drop Fridays on the Steiner Hub and have invited those guys over as well since they have openly invited us FRR pilots to their event. Their event was a blast and the turnout over there was great so if our community has a good showing this week as well this is going to be one hell of a blast. Nothing better than going out in your stompy robots blowing other ones up whether it be a pug or even your FRR Brothers/Sisters in grudge matches! Hope to see you all this evening! It was a blast to see all of you who showed up we had an excellent turnout this weekend and will most definitely keep this up! Hope to see you all next weekend for some more exciting sync drops!
This weekend due to the House Challenge we may edit the format of the drops. Options on the table are as follows: For those that did not opt in we can still run the event "as is" with 4 mans having a good time with the sync dropping. For those that did opt in and still want to participate we can have them all come in and try to solo sync with the groups so that they can still get in their games for the challenge while still participating in the event. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
That's the best way I can think of doing it. Though I'm planning on representing the might of the FRR, so I'll be dropping solo as part of the event. But I'll still be there on the HUB, so hopefully we'll get some nice sync drops in with everyone.
Throwing this out there I am going to need help doing SSDM this week I am on sub par internet at the moment due to having to go to NG Drill. I ran one game down here and my ping varied from 400-900 so not much of a chance that I can hope to play, so any help running the event tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. I will be around long enough to get players there and start getting it organized but will end up bowing out due to my inability to play shortly after that in favor of being able to play something not requiring constant internet connection due to the bad bandwidth/ping. If you are interested shoot me a message on here and I will more than gladly accept for the week. My only request is that I get a report on attendance, suggestions from participants, and how long it goes.
Well changes are abundant this week, we have the launch module, the class restrictions, and a new FRR Hub server admin. If you hadn't heard martino2k6 had to resign the server due to personal reasons so I have stepped up. This leaves me at a cross in the roads I now need a new event coordinator for the hub to help me out now that we have more possibilities for events.
