Sean was a rival of mine in EvE online, I wont say I was a rival of his though he played on a whole level above me that I couldnt even reach. I found out last night that he had died when browsing youtube and there was a link to a "RIP VILE RAT" video, I thought he was quiting the game and began to laugh. Before the end of that short video I was nearly crying. The goons like to break stuff in eve, and have broken my own stuff several times. But the only thing im left with after this, a video? really? a fucking video you didnt agree with made you go apeshit and kill others? What gets me more though, he was a civilian. I'm the one that signed up for the danger/blood/guts/glory. He signed up for the AC/Kool Aid/Wet chu's. If they had a real problem with the video, im not far away, they could have come over here and started shooting, we'd shoot right back. I have more I could say, but none of it helpful, and none of it would be in keeping with what he stood for or what I believe. So ill sign off now and shoot lazers at rocks, RIP Sean.
My condolences. The whole situation with this video really makes you think if it was deliberate action intended to induce hatred or just someones idea of a joke.
