For the past week i have been thinking of how we can improve the experience for our players. Arma is constantly improving itself and i believe that we can provide a better experience for our players.

For me, one of the main things i feel that we can improve is mod management. It have always been an issue with making sure that everyone have the correct mods installed and even more so that they are all running the same version. In the past, it was suggested that we should use the Steam Workshop. At the time there was little point in it as our primary mods were not availbe on the workshop. However over time things have changed. Now, almost all of the mods that we used are avaible on the workshop. This is gonna make everything easier as all you have to do is click 'subscribe' on a mod. It's gonna be made even easier when i create a collection containing all the mods. As then all you would have to do is go to the collection and click 'Subscribe to all'. This will definely make things easier on the side and allows the players to focus on actually playing and not worrying about having the correct mods.

The most important bit we can improve is the gameplay. These are a couple things i want to try out myself

With the release of Apex. Arma added it's own revive system. This is something that can be interesting for us. The biggest questiong though is of how good it is. In order to know that we need to try it out and test different settings and see if it works for us.

I'm also interested in adding a respawn system for any missions where it could be useful. The idea is to have a form of checkpoint system. When friendly forces enter a checkpoint and its clear from enemies you will be able to respawn in that area. If friendly forces leave the checkpoint or enemies enter then the respawn will be disabled. A gameplay example would be: You are pushing for an objective and start taking casualties. At this point you have the choice of either to keep pushing until you reach the next checkpoint or fall back to a previous checkpoint in order to get reinforcement.

Zeus is something i want to use more of aswell. For those of you who don't know what it is. Zeus is basically a player acting as a game master. He place units, create objectives, gives order to AI units. He can even take control of units and play as them. Something that can be good to know is that you can have multiple players as Zeus.

These are just some things that we can try to become better and i'm sure there are more ways we can improve aswell which is why i always want to know what you think we can do better. It can be anything from what style of missions we play or what mods we use to changing the time that we play at.

Again, Arma is getting better. The mods for Arma are getting better and i believe that we can definetly provide a better experience to our players.
