I decided to make a different thread than the one Fet recently started because budget is different enough that it has a sizable impact. I've had my Astro A40s for a few years now, and I've really liked it, but my sound in the left ear is going out. I am open to either wired or wireless (would prefer 3.5 mm input) and I am comfortable in the $200 range, and willing to go up to $300. I really just want a good headset that will last me a few years. Recommendations?
Like in the other one... This is one of the best you can get. https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00GWU8FTK
Beyer dynamics custom one plus, allows for adjusting the bass for taste on the fly through adjustable porting. I use a blue yeti for my mic but the independent mod mic is a great option if you want to have on headset. I also looked at the akg 7xx and 702 but didn't like the sound profile as much
I have the Sennheiser 429 and love it. It cost below 90€ when I got it. For mic I have a one with a bendable stick and pedestal, if I needed I could attach it to the headset, cost something like 10€. Fits nicely over Oculus to create my very own alternate reality where I won't hear waifu call me to eat.
