I started playing iRacing a couple weeks ago and all i can say is that its really good. iRacing just started the "2016 Season 4" which last from 13th September to 5th December. What is new for this season is the addition of the Audi 90 GTO and Circuit de la Sarthe which is most famous for hosting 24 hour of Le Mans. Spoiler: Getting Started
Good old Volusia!! Many years ago I worked with a sprint car team, Volusia was our home track. I never had the chance to test the car there, all my laps were up at Putnam speedway just up the road. There is nothing like it when a winged sprint car hooks coming out of the corner sideways and starts bringing the front wheels off the ground as you tear down the straight. Wonder how iracing will handle the push starts and lack of restarting in the sprint cars.
Dirt have been released With it the following cars have been added Dirt Street Stock Dirt Limited Late Model Dirt Pro Late Model Dirt Super Late Model 305 Winged Sprint Car 360 Winged Sprint Car 410 Winged Sprint Car
So, my broken wheel was finally replaced and i finally got to test it. I believe it's good, i have personaly zero experience with dirt ovals. However the iRacing Dirt Community think it's great and is giving it an unusual amout of praise. The sprint cars doesn't use push start due to game limitations.
Season 3 have come to an end and season 4 is starting. Season 3 was the first time i participated the entire season and i'm happy with my results from it. I participated in the "Indycar Fixed Oval Series". I was part of division 7 for the season. I managed to make 494 points which got me 10th place, beating out the guy in 11th place by 3 points. Across all the divisions there was a total of 3380 drivers that had participated in atleast 1 race. Among all these drivers i managed to get into 340th place. For a first complete season in a series i feel satisfied with that result. Here are my stats for the season for anyone thats interested. It's mostly for myself though so that i can compare in the future.
